I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 6-8 months ago after my doctor exhausted all tests and found nothing (part of me still thinks something else is going on, that’s something totally different).
The flares are awful that I have, last month I had 2 and they were awful and costed me a business relationship. So far I know some of my triggers like high stress where my body goes into this immediate state of stress and I don’t feel panic right away till later. It’s my body that reacts and it is painful. Other flares would be from the high humidity where I am in Canada which I have been doing well in preventing flares from occurring. Winter is coming and it’s becoming a little chilly and I am starting to feel it in my joints and muscles already. I am dreading winter. I haven’t done aquafit yet, which was recommended by my doctor. My finances are getting back on track now, I am working out a consistent schedule for myself and I’m having a little trouble navigating that right now to schedule in aquafit. I am wondering, those who have fibromyalgia what have you done that has been helpful? I do have heating pads (I’ll need to get a bigger heating blanket soon), I need to work on exercising like aquafit, processed foods can trigger my fibromyalgia so I stay away from certain foods (hotdogs and processed cheese), I am working on reducing the causes of stress like the environment I am in. Thank you, I’ll try anything and I’m making my winter Amazon list, I’ll look into recommendations. I also do take a medication when I do have flares, it’s as needed medication, it works wonders, when I do take it I am unable to work or basically function while it does its thing. |
