I have had surgery on both knees this past year. Well today I was walking to my mailbox and there is this little incline down to the mailbox so what do I do but trip and fall down the incline. Well now my knee is swollen and it hurts like crazy. I've taken Aleve and Ibuprofen and its NOT helping. I think tomorrow I will end up in the ER. I called the doc on call for my ortho and he said if wasn't better by tomorrow to go the ER to have them X-ray it. What fun what fun NOT!!!.

I ended up going to the ER today and they Xrayed the knee. Nothing broken but they said I could have injured a muscle, tendon or ligament. They send me home with crutches, a knee imbolizer brace, pain pills and ibuprofen. I went to get the pain pill filled and my insurance company doesn't fill it and it was going to be $36 so no pain pill for me. I plan on calling my doc in the morning and telling him I was in the ER and that the pill that doc prescribed wasn't covered under my insurance and could he kindly prescribe something else. Or I might just have to wait til I see him on Wednesday.

Oh, jbug, not fun! Let us know how it goes. I'm glad nothing was broken, hope it didn't hurt anything that you had fixed though. Keep us informed.

I went to the ortho this morning and he said I almost dislocated my knee. I get to wear my knee imobilizer and am to use my crutches for at least a month. I go back to see him in a month. I think I need to be wrapped in bubble wrap when I go outside.
