So, I think I may have had a seizure, but I'm not certain.

I was in a bar with a couple friends, and I started to feel really crappy. My stomach started to hurt, I began to get depressed. This went on for 45 minutes or so. Then, all of the sudden, it seemed like the music got louder, the smoke thicker, the people closer, and the temperature warmer. I got annoyed by everything. When people looked at me, it ticked me off. I had a compulsion to hit someone, but I left. I went home to grab my BupropiIon. I hadn't taken it in 15 hours, so I figured it might help. I sat on the couch for about 5 minutes just trying to calm down, and I ate something hoping it'd help my stomach. I went back to pick up my friend (who I didn't tell I was leaving). When I got back, I was standing waiting, and my left hand shot downward and my head followed. I had no control over this, and it happened really fast. It wasn't a twich though. Too many muscle groups were involved. I was shakey, but I pulled myself back up. This lasted about 3 seconds before I had full control again.

Afterwards, I was still in a foul mood, but not like before. I did not have any alcohol either. (I had had some the night before though)

Any thoughts?

As far as I know, I've never had a seizure. I have had a few random, intense anger episodes like that before, but I'm pretty sure I'm bipolar.

From what you described it could be possible that you had a seizure - you will have to keep track of when these episodes happen and see a doctor if they become troublesome or life threatening.

Please keep in mind that what you described could also be caused by many of medical issues....... (ex low blood sugar, mixing alcohol with Rx, heart problem, a stroke (even a mild one)....... stay safe and see your doctor if they occur more often.

I have had a lifetime of seizure patterns and they do not match anything I have ever experienced or heard of from my neurologists. HOWEVER, perhaps seizures caused by other factors can have different patterns than those associated with epilepsy.

I would advise that you consult a physician or specialist to confirm if the symptoms were seizure-like or not. The symptoms can be related to other factors as Rhapsody mentioned.

A seizure is... The brain going a bit haywire for a time. I figure most peoples brains do that at some point. It is problematic when it happens repeatedly.

In your case... Could it have to do with social anxiety? You mentioned anger... Did you really want to be out that night? Were you feeling frustrated or something like that?
