Mine were going off a few weeks ago. I used Claritin, and when it got really bad, I bought a salty nose spray.

What kind of allergies do you have? Seasonal, pets, food, or other types of allergies?

Sometimes I use Claritin, and sometimes I wind up using Benadryl. I find that sometimes using cold medications (for runny nose etc) can be useful too if thats the allergy symptom that shows up. Also have used eye drops for some types of allergies as well... really helpful for itchy, watery, puffy or red eyes.

What kind of symptoms do you wind up with?

If you can avoid what's causing the allergy, sometimes I wind up attempting to sleep off the allergic reaction. Just need time to breathe and calm down.

Seasonal...everything is blooming, the grass, the trees, its all

pollen related. I raked outside today some left over leaves from

last fall. That made it worse....I have both benadryl and

claritin. I'm not very fond of benadryl so I took a claritin, it

helped for awhile. I also have some flonase around here somewhere

but that stuff dries out nasal passages and brings on nose bleeds

Hopefully it will ease up.

You have things blooming? And I still have snow where I'm living...

Hope you feel better soon. (((((((((((((Ziggy))))))))))))))))

Maybe the next step is to talk to your doctor about a prescription for an allergy med that isn't OTC (over the counter)?

Oh, didn't think of that! I don't have allergies but I have sensitivities only I probably have not been paying attention. No wonder my asthma is slightly worse and I'm not sleeping as well, etc.

This too will pass.
