I got to thinking the other day about what could be making my tummy upset all the time and thought about what I eat or drink on a regular basis and decided maybe it could be my Diet Mountain Dew addiction. I was right. When I got my groceries yesterday I got Diet Dr. Pepper instead because I also like that soda and since I started drinking that instead I have had little to no upset tummy. The upset tummy I have now is due to my allergies and my sinuses draining into my tummy. I am blowing my nose all the time and can feel the junk just dripping down my throat so I know that is what it is so when I go to the store tomorrow will pick up some sudafed. But I am glad to know it was something simple like that.

What got me to think was Rex. He can't have citrus based drinks as it messed with his stomach so I thought maybe it was the case with my tummy and my ulcer and remembered that when I go to my T's office they give me a soda and I drink Diet Dr. Pepper and I feel better so that got me thinking and I was right.

A soda every now and then is one thing but an "addiction" is not good for anyone. Drink water instead; you'll lose faster.

Could have been the very high amount of caffeine in the Mountain Dew too. (In the U.S., Mountain Dew is loaded with caffeine).

At any rate, I'm very glad you are feeling better. I found the source of my upset tummy

I agree with Perna, add some water or switch / substitute: one soda, then one nice glass of water--it is so good for you. And when you stop smoking, it is highly recommended that you increase your water intake to help get all the nictotine out of your system quickly!

I do not like bottled water or refrigerated or iced water (don't even think about throwing a dirty old lemon slice in there!! lol), so I have a pitcher at home on my kitchen counter and a pitcher at work at my desk full of tap water readily available. Recently I froze some cranberry/blueberry juice in ice cube trays and they make a pretty and tasty addition to a nice glass of water I found the source of my upset tummy

I used to drink bottled water but instead bought a pitcher with a filter in it so it tastes like bottled water. I decided that the expense of the bottled water and found out that the bottles don't break down in the landfill. So decided I'd save the environment and my pocketbook LOL. The pitcher cost 9 dollars and the filter every 2 months is $5. So it is much cheaper that way. I get the flavor packets that you add to the water cuz even though I do like a glass of ice cold water I sometimes like a glass of flavored water now and then.
