I went to my GP about a week and half ago and he told me I had bronchitis which I knew because its about that time of year I start getting bronchitis a lot due to my severe asthma and scar tissue in my lungs. Anyway today I have been wiped out. Coughing, sneezing, fatigued and running a slight fever. I have been taking my antibiotic faithfully and its about to run out. Today has been the worse day in the whole sickness. I am wondering if it is something worse than bronchitis now or if I got a sinus infection on top of it. I don't look inside my kleenex at my treasures LOL but maybe I should to see if it is yellow to indicate an infection before I call my doc to let him know I am worse instead of better.
I guess I am just complaining that I feel like crap today. Jbug

I am sorry to hear you're not well Jbug. I think you should note all your symptoms before you ring your doctor, because the doctor will need to know everything about your illness before deciding what other measures to take.
I hope you feel better soon ![]()

I actually went and saw my doc today and we went over all my symptoms and he doesn't know exactly what is wrong so he drew some blood. He thinks that maybe my blood count maybe off but he's not sure. He thinks I might have just a run of the mill cold but he didn't want to add another antibiotic. I am thankful I have a doctor that doesn't just throw an antibiotic at me when I am sick. He said he should have the results tomorrow and have his nurse call me.
As for the dizziness and the white spots I'm seeing he thinks maybe its a side effect to all the meds I'm on but he said it should come out in my blood work. He said if my blood work comes back normal he is going to recommend I talk with my pdoc about scaling back on my meds. Jbug

My bloodwork came back everything was fine. I spoke with both my pdoc's nurse and my T today about what my GP's thoughts on my dizziness and such were about maybe I was overmedicated and maybe needed to be scaled back on my meds by my pdoc. My T said she would talk with my pdoc because I have lost significant weight since I saw my pdoc and maybe I do need to be scaled back. I am also going to call my neuro in the morning and ask him about my dosage and see if maybe it's too much since when I saw him I was about 20lbs heavier. I don't know if that would make a difference but you never know.
I am also supposed to eat more often throughout the day as I haven't been eating much and was told the right foods to eat so since I have to go to the store tomorrow anyway I can get the right foods. Jbug

Allergy. Since it occurs this time every year, it's likely to be environmental. Either the cold fronts moving in with new pollens, grasses, or it's you newly being cooped up inside your home and the dust or paneling or whatever. See an ENT.
COPD is tough. I know. I need to go swimming to help build my lungs back up, but the muscle spasms are too much. ((((gently hug)))

Three years went by without a problem, and then I got a flu (or so I thought) and went to an allergist. He said he was positive I had asthma and spent an hour taking notes of the herbs I'd used to get rid of this chronic stuff and was amazed I could control it. I had terrific reactions to the drugs he gave me, so I took my herbs while I was going to him and he could see that they worked. I was allergic to 40 percent of the things I've been tested for. Prior to chicken pox I only had a few allergies to things. I still have sinus problems occasionally and my ears plug up. (I also have suffered a permanant loss of some hearing because of original docs misdiagnosis.) One thing that helps tremendously is fresh carrot juice. I also drink yarrow tea, linden tea or elderberry tea. These things work like a charm for me at least, and if you have a virus, anti-biotics are useless. For years I've had terrible time with prescriptions, so I've had to find other ways to fix things. I'm glad you have a doc that is careful, and I know sinus infections and colds don't sound like much to the average person, but I found out the hard way they are nothing to fool around with. |
