I have been in pain the past few days. I had a migraine yesterday. But Sunday, I had this what seems to be an insect bite on my left breast. I'm now getting chills and fever. And the bite area is getting bigger.. almost 50 cent piece size and then the redness is spreading( red streaks all around bite area ). Its right on the side so its very hard to type because my arm tends to rub up against it. Its very painful, hot to the touch also. I know I need to go to the doctor. I've been taking advil , but other than that, does anyone know of anything that might help this pain? The advil is hardly touching it.

you might want to call someone about this. an E.R. nurse or something. i read a little and it sounds like this kind of reaction to a bug bite is worthy of someone's attention.

Yes I am going tomorrow. Where did you read about it? Just wondering. I'd like to take a look myself.

Thanks

When you get red lines radiating out from a bite, it needs attention soon. Please don't wait too long.

Just got back from doctors. He put me on a strong antibiotic for cellulitis ( the bug bite has caused this) Told me to keep a good eye on it and if it doesnt get better, I may need to go to the hospital to get IV antibiotic. Keep your fingers crossed I dont have to do that.

Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts!

I'm ready for my pumpkin pie....
I'm glad you had it checked out. Since it looked better, the antibiotic ought to wipe it out!

...and I hope it isn't on the same side as your 'fork' arm.. Happy Pumpkin Pie Day! (really... why don't we call it what it really is. lol)

That is what I was thinking.... as a friend of mine was bitten by a spider and had the same reaction, and it took three weeks of two different medicines to clear it up.

Praying for you Sunshine....
