Has anyone had an EEG, brain map done?

I've had several EEGs in my life. Mostly, for psych evaluations and I am assuming to rule out stuff.

But I had a brain map done once, to specifically measure my brain waves.

The results showed that I have very fast brain waves in every part of my brain.

Has anyone else had this done? What were your results?

I haven't been mapped by EEG, but I have been brain mapped by MRI, CT and CT Mylogram methods. All of which show anomalies in relation to depression.

This was done about 4 years ago, when I consulted with a T about memory and concentration problems. Her husband was starting a new specialty in neurofeedback to treat ADD. They both thought I was a possible ADD sufferer.
He diagnosed me as overfocused ADD.
But I have since learned both she and he were kind of quacks and that overfocused ADD isn't even in the DSM.
So, I don't really know what it means.
I was hoping someone else might have the same "really fast brain waves" all over their brain, like me, and could tell me what the docs told them it meant.

I am curious, about this particular EEG. Was it a QEEG? Are you still having concentration issues?

Also, I am wondering if they just left you hanging with a diagnosis, albeit not in DSM, or did they also provide you with some therapy or something for the, so called, diagnosis, ADD? Was the word 'overfocused' used as part of the diagnosis or was it used as just a general adjective?

You say: "I had a brain map done once", but did any of your other EEG's show signs of ADD or any of your other Dr's say you had ADD type issues and/or did they give you any therapy for those? You mentioned you had several EEG's done.

My understanding of brain mapping is that there should be additional reading material for you to go by, not just a diagnosis. To my understanding there should be some follow-up type therapy.

I'm wondering why, too, you are going by something that happened 4 years ago? Is that wise? So much can happen in your life in 4 years. Here's hoping these questions will be of some help in your decision making for now and into the future.

I have had many tests. MRI's, CT scans, EEG's, PET scan, psychological testing, SPECT scans, intracranial and wada testing done - for neurological illnesses. Intracranial test and observation provided surgeons with necessary information before surgery, mapping wasn't a necessity thankfully. Refractory epilepsy and traumatic brain injury.
