I'm lucky enough to be a mother to an adorable 6 year old boy and I just wanted to say that having my son brought back my Christmas cheer. Prior to becoming a mum, I dreaded Christmas, mainly because I hated playing happy families with people that had treated me badly, over a long period of time.

I am now all but estranged from my family, and the more distance I have, the more joy I feel. This year I just feel so blessed to have my son to share the joy with. The real meaning of Christmas is right here, in our house. I feel so lucky, because he was a late in life baby, I nearly missed the boat.

Santa is coming! Merry Christmas everyone

I get to experience Christmas now that I have children. When I was growing up, my parents did not celebrate the holiday. I never had a real Christmas tree until I was an adult and in my own home.
