So I went to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly meds and was told that I no longer have coverage. We were on medicaid which should have been good through November. I have to call them and see what is going on. I logged into the web site and saw that it said coverage terminated for having a greater income than program allows. Not real sure how this could be true since Hubby is out of work currently and I am on disability. We NEED the coverage. I've got 15 meds to pick up and on average two doctor appointments a week to deal with my physical health which is complicated.
I pray that it will all get worked out but deep down I am scared of not being covered. ![]() |

Medicaid offices, at least here, are notorious for getting things wrong. My coverage was cut once because they decided I owned a house I wasn't living in. I had sold it 3 years before and had never put it as an asset in this county. I had to totally re-apply but it came out fine.
I could go on, I've had numerous bad/weird experiences with them, but it all seems to work out eventually. (Except I can't get the hospital to bill them for my IP stay last February but that's not Medicaid's fault. I don't think.)

Hello....I use to do social work with Medicaid. The system in my area has the clients income listed and allows the option to "edit" (update). They will require proof of course. It's easy for them to check that your husband is no longer working. They can have his last employer verify that and check his social security number for no current job. Medicaid might do this quickly or take a little time. I have Medicare that I pay monthly plus 20% and make too much income for Medicaid. I hope things work out for you.
