For housing, I have been wait-listed. I am in victims assistance program and receive SSDI benefits. Everyday I feel re-traumatized. Others in my situation would have been granted SSI, employment opportunity and medicare, but being that there was an emergency situation, and given my small amount of assets, I am on waiting lists for housing and am in temporary housing now without additional medical and financial assistance. Does anyone have experience with an unusually situation like mine? The amount of SNAP benefits I have been given is small, but would help enough for me to start with private therapy again and continue buying groceries without stress on my delicate financial situation. Could I loose my current benefits if I accept "SNAP" benefits?
