Between the breathing problems that I am suffering from due to lung cancer and the severe neuropathic pain that I suffer from, it's incredibly difficult for me to function. Even getting out of bed in the morning is a struggle, and while I am currently working, it's damn near impossible to continue to hold down a job despite all of this.
If my condition worsens, I could very easily lose my job and end up becoming homeless. Also, affording my treatment is extremely difficult at times, as the co-pays are often too much for me to afford. And the cancer treatment that I am receiving is often making it nearly impossible to even afford the basics, such as housing. Plus, on top of that I was recently diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and frequently am suffering from PTSD-related flashbacks. |

I called my oncologist, and they said that they may need to change my treatment as the tumor may still be growing. I need to go to an oncology appointment tomorrow at 10AM to see if I need to get more tests to see if I need more tests to determine if it has metastized to more parts of the body than the lymph nodes near my lung. |

I'm sorry that I'm not living in the US and may not understand correctly. I did have a friend who lived in Georgia and know that for her it was a tough place to survive PTSD. I got the impression that services there were few and far between, so that she often found herself on the edge of homelessness.
Can you not apply for disability? Yes, that can take time but once it kicks in you should be secure about medical care and housing? Is there a debt advice place that can help you to negotiate bills until you get disability? When I was laid off unexpectedly a debt advice place told me to contact utilities about my situation and they wrote their bills off short-term for a couple of months until the job that I was promised came through. I was shocked to find them behaving in such a reasonable manner, but the debt advice place told me that they have contingency funds for genuine cases!!!! Home loan and local tax was a massive battle, however. It's important to keep reaching out ![]()

As Saidso also advises, it seems impossible to me that you wouldn't be eligible for some sort of government assistance. ((HUGS))
