Am 30+ i am transgender also gender fluid well the body is 30+
we are all sort of ages
We have been struggling with this for a very long time
we came out about us being transgender to my family they all are ok about apart from the mother that calls it an illness but other than that am fine with her
me and the sister where abuse at a very young age by friends of my mother
my mother was on drugs and we are unsure of her involvement in the abuse
the sister been diagnosed with DDNOS i just come out to my Therapist about being multiple she was surpized but didnt ask any thing so we are unsure if she believes us we have to talk to our psych as well as our dr

We have kept this hidden from most people
the nieces and nephew have kept it quite

We have some who are male some female and some who dont know what they are

One of us is the host s(he) is gender fluid for the last 10 years her/his husband has known about the DID and is very understanding

we are having problems finding male like clothes because the body is obese
and the body has a deeper curve in her/his back
we cant afford much as we are on benefits if we get clothes from online and they dont fit we have to pay for returning them and sometimes we have no money

thought we would say hi

Hi Welcome to PC....I am similar to you except my host is heterosexual...I have alters that claim to be other ways sexual, but don't live that lifestyle at least not openly. A good way to start is to research and journal your experiences have the pdoc test you for dissociative disorders. I'm assuming that you feel you meet the criteria? If it is important to you to have on file mental health then do so. It is more than clothes that can be the deciding factor just to let you know that. Talk with your therapist they can tell, email your therapist, ask to attend groups. Journal, journal, journal show it to your therapist. Write in front of your therapist, discuss that it limits you in school, at work, with relationships. There are a number of things that they you all can do to see that you relate to the world differently. Show them research papers try to remember job interviews. Use of plurals, what makes you feel really anxious and fearful. Any memories you all know about would be great also. Be prepared to tell your therapist and pdoc what goes inside your mind. Especially as it evolves the longer your in therapy it might change as far as hearing more that is why I said journaling is important. Be prepared to discuss in session what you hear inside while the procedures they have to follow, basically they won't necessary believe what you say. Lastly, don't get frustrated therapist and pdoc have procedures they have to follow, basically they won't necessary believe what your self disclosing UNLESS you was previously diagnosed and able to get something stating that. Make sure safety is paramount though cause it is some therapist and pdoc that will intentionally trigger you depending on how quiet or anxious you are. That's normal though just something I wasn't prepared for..

Part of my story is that I was diagnosed by someone at my former church, who worked in the mental health field in her 9 to 5 profession, but later on decided I couldn't get anything in writing. Basically, it caused me to have to start over re-traumatizing me because they put me through hell in so many ways some of it mentioned above. I wasn't mad about that because it was there then, before her, and even moreso now, so yes only a matter of time on being diagnosed I just wanted them to stop following me undermining things once I got to mental health because of some stupid statement about coming alone side you in the process outside of the church. Anyway, that just part of my frustrations etc.....

Good Luck though
