Should the urine stream be high pressure and thin when the foreskin is retracted in uncircumcised males? Or is this alternate stream a result of a compressed urethra due to pressure on the penis from the retracted foreskin? I can't imagine that this kind of stream is normal, not from what I have seen or heard of other streams.
Without the foreskin retracted the urine stream is lower in pressure and wider, which I assume to be a more normal stream. |

Not to minimize your question, but that is more thought than I have EVER put into the physics of urine stream pressure. I always figured that as long as stuff wasn't coming out bloody, I was fine. I would imagine you're okay too, but then I'm cut (and glad to be).

Yes I am urinating without any real problems but I don't know if I am urinating in the correct manner, or whether I have problems with my foreskin which are manifest in the urine stream.

Well seriously, I don't know how there could be an INcorrect manner for this. I would imagine that any foreskin problems would involve infection of the skin, which would manifest itself in pretty obvious ways. (This is why I'm glad to be cut, avoiding all kinds of messiness and trouble.) As for the urine stream, really, as long as there's no burning or blood then you shouldn't worry about it. Any pressure change would be the same kind of thing that happens when you pinch or bend a garden hose.

A tight foreskin doesn't involve infection. I think maybe it would be pinching the urethra and causing a high pressure stream. The problem with the urine stream is that it is too high in pressure and volatile? I don't know if I am urinating correctly and I suppose want to know how to check. There should be a youtube video or a drawing or something.

I know that in some men, as time goes on the foreskin can shrink and pull back. By 60 or 70 this can become very painful so maybe if there is a change in your stream it might be indicative of something else changing. But I would only consider going to the doctor if something actually changed.

Add me to the comments that don't understand the concept of correct & incorrect urinating. My son, 28, us uncircumcised & has never questioned right & wrong ways of draining the vein. As I've grown older (I'm circumcised) my stream has changed. Change happens...Try not to think of it as a bad thing. Peace out.

It's not change, I just don't know if it is correct.
I am pretty sure the stream when the foreskin is pulled back is too thin compared to what I see in the movies and also heard in urinals. |
