hello guys i have a question...sometimes my right testicle hurts a lot suddenly,it swells and causes great lasting pain.this has been going on for quite a while.does anyone know what it might be??

It sounds like it might be some version of epididymitis...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epididymitis Definitely worth seeing a doctor about. It might turn out to be no big deal, but to be safe you should make sure it's not testicular cancer. |

Could be testicular cancer. I had the same thing in 94 and let it go for over a year, thinking it would get better on it's own.
By the time I saw a doctor in August, he said if I didn't do something soon, I would not see Christmas. 4 rounds of chemo & 12 hours of surgery later, I'm still here.

Hydroceles do not go away on their own. They require surgery, I have had two of them.
