My mother passed away peacefully in her sleep this morning.
There was no pain. We had made our peace a day ago on the phone. I retained my cool stance but managed to show my love by making her laugh and giving in to her demands for me to tell her that I loved her. Once I did she asked me to say it three times and I said she was just being greedy. We laughed. I think at that moment we both understood each other. My dear complicated NPD mummy. So vulnerable, so harsh, so unforgiving yet so soft. I miss her already. The emotional chess game has ended in a final checkmate. But funny enough, I wish I wasn't playing that game. ![]() Ignore my previous post. I wasn't being duped at all. NPD: the crying wolf disease. |

Oh Fifi, I am so very sorry. I'm glad she went peacefully. The pain is over for everyone and I'm glad you can look on her with pitty and love.
(It's the only way to beat the NPD monster - pitty and love.) ![]()
