Oh ok lol.

My boyfriend cheated on me once and I applied thoughts into action. I was pretty satisfied about that outcome. Not semi-satisfied with verbal hit and runs like I usually do. Before that I thought I liked him. To the point I saw a future with him and us having a family and the like which actually made the rage even worst because I had to start all over. I felt like I needed to get even. But yeah, when I beat him up it was like a rush the same rush I get when I strangled other animals like a struggle. I like the struggle and the rush that comes with it. My dad is AsPD so maybe that's probably why. But the difference between him and I is I have tried to avoid breaking the law most of the time.

Idk I think the root is more a matter of genetics since I never met my dad.

Well killing animals is still breaking the law.

I can't relate to this "rush" feeling you speak of but I've read it a million times before. Violence and release of anger seems to be euphoric to some people, especially when they've been hurt in situations like what your boyfriend did. Maybe you could pick up a sport like boxing.

Could be genetics, environment, anything really. What matters more is the fixing rather than the cause.

I've never killed an animal. Well besides rodents. But anything bigger never killed. I just get like a little taste basically... The end result would be twice as gratifying but if I killed them I wouldn't be able to do it again. So I've never killed an animal like that. So I haven't broken the law.

I can't box because I take it too far for me I take things all the way or none at all. I could destroy an inaminate object but then I just fantasize further makes me feel so close. That's why I just try to abstain. Anyhow, maybe T this time will work last time I wasn't there because I wanted to anyhow. I was forced by my mom because she thought I was abused. But I've always disagreed. So I disagreed with everything. I wasn't going to really open up. I don't really want to now I just don't really see another option.

The only important thing about this thread was the first post.

It's clearly readable. And despite the efforts of OP, people thinking they're narcs will always be a problem.

It doesn't help that some people's T's suggest they have some of the traits... Anyway, thanks for the tips. It's something of a relief to find I probably don't suffer from the disorder.... I have enough problems to worry about.

This is why I told you you should create a "you know you're a when" thread.

Thank you though, watching this forum has helped me accept the fact that my pdoc really was an a**hole and I'm not just in denial lol

Such a thread would be fun, though it'd probably be only Underground and myself posting in it...

What did your pdoc do? I'm curious now.

Hey folks,

It is natural for people to question if they have a certain disorder. This does not mean they are being disrespectful to those who have been diagnosed.

Since we are a "supportive" mental health website, this thread does not fall into that realm of being supportive and will now be closed.

If you have concerns about a thread/post, please report the thread/post to the Community Support Team by clicking on the "report post" icon and we will be happy to look into it.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
