And to be honest I'm relieved. I thought I was the only one. When I was little I would pull out my hair, eyelashes, and eyebrows. The idea was so odd to me, I couldn't possibly imagine anyone else living with it. I went through the shame and trying to hide it. My parents were so weirded out at me.
It's strange, but learning my disorder has a name attached to it makes me feel more normal. |

I'm glad that you are feeling more normal.
I found the book The Hair-Pulling Problem by Fred Penzel to be helpful and enlightening: http://www.amazon.com/Hair-Pulling-P...9725924&sr=8-4 There are some other books on trich at amazon as well. |

Now instead of pulling my hair out all the time, i focus on split ends. It helps keep the hair on my head, and its also entertainment on the go! only... my hair is shorter on the right because i pull out more splits on that side. |
