I don't check things, or wash my hands repeatedly or touch things.
I get horrible, violent images of hurting myself. They are out of my control and happen at random. I went to the hospital a couple of weeks ago because it was getting to the point that I was feeling compelled to do the things in the images in an affort to get them to stop. Anyone have this? My p-nurse mentioned to me that the images are consistent with OCD. |

I do this. I have a few compulsive sorts of actions, like an organizing thing, but mostly its horrible intrusive thoughts... sometimes hurting myself, sometimes hurting other people. Many of the things I am so ashamed of I couldn't even post the thoughts here. My pdoc says its OCD for me.

Hey there,
I have this issue, and am diagnosed with OCD. Many people call this type of OCD "Pure-O", because the person has mostly obsessions and few compulsions. I hope you are getting help for this, and I hope your stay at the hospital was beneficial to you. |
