Okay. So I started meeting with a new therapist at the beginning of this month. She did a screening for OCD on me since she could see just by looking at me and hearing me talk that I was affected to it to some degree. So the screening came back with results that seemed to even baffle her slightly. It said that my symptoms were "mild" but the degree to which they affected me were "severe". What exactly does this mean? Does this mean I have less symptoms than normal but spend a significant amount of time focusing on them? I'm really not sure. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you everybody!!

Yeah, that makes sense -- it's not common, but it makes sense. It means that the symptoms you have are mild -- that is, they might not take up tons of your time, or you might have some control over them -- but maybe they happen in a certain setting and that makes it so they affect you a lot, or maybe when they happen you end up doing things that cause you problems in your life. So the symptoms would be mild then, but the degree to which they affect you might be severe.
