my tric never fully goes away but I definitely do it a lot more when I'm stressed or my routine is really shaken up. I don't know how to calm it down either once it gets going like that. It seems to take a long time after the stress is long gone for it to settle down.

I do this too, I think. I pick at my scalp. I've been doing it for over 2 years, so there are always scabs that I pick at and they bleed... I have bald spots from it. It's horrible but I just can't seem to stop.

Hey CryingOutLoud & others. I can feel what you mean though I haven't got tric (just when I was a child), but I've got OCD & I suffer from severe pure obsessions, like the thing you do with your scalp, I do also but inside my brain

I've got an idea for your scalp though (not for my brain!!!)... Why don't you try & wear something on your head all the time, not just a hat, but ammm, I don't know its name in English, but it's the thing you wear on your head when it's snowing Or you can also hold something in both your hands (while you're not typing that is), maybe even something that can be squeezed, & whenever you feel the urge to tear away at your scalp you could relieve this pressure by squeezing it at those two somethings in both your hands...

Those are just ideas I thought of, that's just until the time you forget these impulses. And I think it's better too that you get psychotherapy with a psychiatrist if you can, 'cause medications are never enough in psychiatric conditions. That is if you manage to find a trained psychotherapist, 'cause I failed to find one where I live
