My T thinks I might have ocd. I have major control issues, which include e.d., anxiety, perfectionism, I don't let myself go to bed until 3-4 in the morning, obsessive thoughts- with transference, food, people attacking me, getting hurt, etc. My doctor also thinks there's an ocd component to my starve-binge cycle which makes sense. The thing is, T hasn't diagnosed me yet. I'm also really opposed to taking medication. Are there natural alternatives out there? I'm pretty scared to have ocd. I really don't want to be diagnosed, because it's so much easier to have all the other things then 1 specific thing. I guess that's part of the ocd! I would rather obsess about everything then have to deal with it. Is ocd curable, or is it the kind of thing that is controlled by meds always?

It can be controlled with medication but the best treatment is a combo of medication and therapy.

Your t probably wants to observe u before diagnosing and it does make sense that there may be a relation between it and the eating disorder. That's how it was in my case. I would wait a little bit longer. Things take time. Getting diagnosed is scary but its a good thing. Really. Patience and trust
