I've always gotten super obsessed with one topic at a time and spent days upon days researching it nonstop, thinking and talking about it nonstop, and anxious about it. I do this all the time. Right now I have been obsessed with the idea that my cipralex is going to make me become bipolar. I have attributed the racing thoughts and constant talking to the fact I MUST be manic. But I don't have any symptoms of mania otherwise.

I was diagnosed with OCD in 2011. I never really thought much of it.

Another aspect I'm wondering about is, my BPD makes me nervous in relationship, but then I think it must be my OCD that makes me research relationship problems nonstop, and obsess over those, until I create issues that weren't there in my relationship. I assumed it was just the BPD, but maybe not.

I've been on cipralex 16 days. I heard it can take 8+ weeks to start working for OCD.

That sounds like OCD to me. I research compulsively when something is bothering me, and have difficultly refocusing. OCD will make you look for evidence of the thing you are afraid of. I would just tell your health care provider about the racing thoughts and give the drug time to work.

I have also obsessed about my marriage and researched nonstop. With OCD, you want to feel like things are "right" and in order and over-analyze your feelings and reactions to things. You really have to learn to live with the uncertainty.

Wishing you peace of mind!

"You really have to learn to live with the uncertainty."

That really is the best advice. Trying to answer all the questions your mind throws at you is really the source of the problem. You will never have absolute certainty about anything. Coming to terms with that reality is where relief will start. It just takes time and you have catch yourself when you start trying to be sure of things.
