hi.

i really really don't know what to do about this

when i was a young child, before all my problems started, i went to walt disney in america- and 1 of the rides i went on was called the tomorrowland transet authority.. this train ride around part of the theme park with really cool anouncements and stuff, and an awsome view of tomorrowland (1 of the park areas)

anyway, i've thought nothing of it for ages, in fact- i forgot it existed until recently

let me just say- that because of my current situation, fear of flying, in a wheelchair, short of money, anxiety about leaving the house and other mental issues... i won't be going back to walt disney anytime soon

but anyway: all i can think about for the past year, is the tomorrowland transet authority.. it's like constant- i watch videos of it on youtube, and impersinate the anouncements on it, and sometimes when i'm quiet, i think i can hear a crowd of people lining up to go on it- i'm not sure if it's just the tomorrowland transet authority- i've thought about other atractions, but i don't think as deep

i don't know what to do- i'm no where near in a good situation to go and ride it, and i've seen every video on it possible (even downloaded the potcast of it)

what can i do- surely thinking obsessively about a train ride you went on ages ago which you wouldn't have remembered much of at the time is pretty wierd?

I am a big fan of science fiction, and I always wanted to go to Disney's tomorrowland. I can understand why you would be so fond of the place and the memories, but, yes, I suspect most folks wouldn't get as carried away with it as you are.

You know what, though? I think your wish to do something like that could provide you the incentive to see a counselor and work through your current issues that keep you from going there--or many other places! How about it?

You can do it! I know you can! If need be, then check into the possibility of going to a clinic or to some other counseling place that uses a fixed scale. Of course, you'd need to ask about help with not wanting to leave the house first. Are you familiar with the systematic desensitization approach to getting rid of fears? (Plus, working on your other issues might get your mind off watching tmorrowland things so much.)
