I'm so beyond fed up. In the last month or so I've done alot of damage, by that I mean bald spots showing through my head of hair. At times I simply cannot stop the pulling and I don't want to panic and go in the bathroom and first cut all my hair off and then shave my entire head. Which I've done 2x in the last 4 years. I've had this strange disorder for 10 years now.

Please, if you have trich, what do you do when that overwhelming urge comes on???? Have you ever resorted to drastic measures??

What helps you???

Shave it short. Get a chic new hair cut.

I had no success with NAC but with MSM (methylsulfonylmethane).

MSM generally supports hair growth so I tested it. But the effect was that the pulling also stopped.

No I am taking it regularly and there is longer a pulling urge.

Dosage: 3 gr. daily together with a lot of Vitamin C in orange juice. I take the powder because that is cheapest.
I take a daily multivitamin also as well as Vitamin D and B.

I had success with MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane). The urge to pull has disappeared.
I take a spoonful of powder with a lot of vitamin C each morning (in juice).

It is good for hair growth anyway.

I have trich too and I can tell my normally thick head of hair is thinning :/ I have a lot of little bristly hairs growing in all over my head which you wouldn't be able to tell unless you touched my head, but I'm afraid of where this is going I hope we find an answer soon.
