My T has OCD (among other things) and he has become obsessed with me. He has called my friends to ask about me. He wants to know where I am, what I'm doing and who I'm doing it with. He wants to know my likes, dislikes, interests and hobbies. I feel like this is getting out of hand. I've confronted him about his problem but he denies it. I think he can't admit he has a problem because it might get him in trouble. I'm thinking of leaving him but am somewhat afraid.

It sounds more like stalking and not like OCD at all. Unless you mean he has OCD AND is obsessed with you. You should talk to someone about this situation, as you don't know if he can be dangerous
You should definitely leave him. |

Yes, I agree it is an unhealthy obsession of your T. I don't think that's OCD in play though. OCD is about irrational thoughts like if I don't check the stove 44 times, my house will burn down. That is irrational. This is pretty realistic. Does your T have attachment issues? Like separation anxiety, or some PD? That could cause it.
Anyways, doesn't matter, you should leave him. Maybe explain to him that what he is doing so he will work on it and not do this to other patients of his? Just my advice. Good luck with your T ![]() Social anxiety disorder, GAD, OCD, and panic attacks Lexapro, 10 mg
