Anyone have any advice on stopping skin picking? I tore up all my fingers until they were raw and I can’t stop even though it hurts.

I do this but it's an extension of my nail biting so if I keep my nails filed down it helps reduce it (although not completely) - problem is I easily get finger infections if I forget to do this and start chewing on them.
Thanks for this!

Don't worry I have the same problem too with my feet and skin. It's a impuslive OCD type obsession. You just need to let the thought sit there even if you want to pick at them or tear them. Try doing trials so you can test how long you can go without picking. If it is bothering you so much then cover up your fingers and resist the urge to take off the cover.

I have a skin picking disorder too alongside OCD so they mix together thought wise and mainly self inflicted multination for satisfaction and relief is OCD and impuslive. This is a tough obsession to fight because you won't stop. For me it gives me satisfaction but causes the doctor to check up with me because of it. You just have to see how long you can go. Stay strong and power thru it. It takes time and stress and feeling uncomfortable, but In the end it pays off.

I've discovered that those blister bandaids can wrap around a finger and stay put for up to a week which lets the skin heal and helps start breaking the habit since you can't really pick at that material. Doing this really reduced my picking although it's not perfect.

It really doesn't work, but I've been taking showers every day, frequently cutting my nails - all to stop a feeling of grossness that seems to trigger it - and when I go to bed I lie on my hands to keep them still. I've also had some success with homebrew habit-reversal training, although the several times I stuck to it, life kept coming back to kick me down... Sometimes when I'm jittery I hit my hands together and that seems to relieve the urge, for whatever reason. Maybe it's the same pain hormones.
