((((((_Sky))))))),

Thank you for your support & your prayers.......whoa....one wonders where balances come from what a surprise to find anything that is a positive balance these days....lol. Thank you very much for the donation.

Am working on taking care & trying to find time to relax & BREATH & I make sure that I start the day with prayer, end the day with prayer & every time in between when I feel the stress wanting to take over or just need to talk.

How is your Mother?.....while reading the other day, she was in ICU. I have been trying to keep up even if I don't post....know my prayers have been with you & your Mother (& your family). I know what a difficult time this is for you.....having been in a similar one with my Mother 4 years ago (wow, has it been that long????).

Thank you again for your prayers & support

Debbie

Aren't contractors fun? NOT! I agree wholeheartedly with the don't-go-with-implications and assumptions and vague, "looks okay, I guess" gut feelings! It took over a year for our contractors to build a simple deck and screen porch. They weren't crooks but just slow and didn't get permits (so the County stopped work for over a month; the contractor's one permit guy proceeded to get sick too and the owner of the company went on vacation, etc.) and wanted the next payment before they'd done the amount of work for the previous payment, etc. Clowns. But they still call us, asking do we want more work, LOL!

I'll certainly give what I can, Eskielover! Good luck getting it all straightened out and getting more from other sources.

(((((((((Candybear))))))))),

You have always been so thoughtful & supportive & encouraging to me over all these past years...you have more than given back all along & I have always appreciated your wonderful replies & thoughts.

I want you to know how much I appreciate what ever financial support you were able to do especially when you are in a difficult financial situation yourself. We need to be careful of our finances during times like this & know it isn't the amount that is important, but the loving & caring thoughts & encouragement that are.

Keeping me in your prayers is the best thing I can ask at this point.

Thank you for your care & support,

Debbie

I know that prayers from you are as valuable as any donation you could give.......I know how much you care & that is what counts. I know how tight it is being a student with bills....I have been there myself & can appreciate what you are going through also.

Ok, the one link is for the Pay Pal button (DONATE) which is at the bottom of DocJohn's first post in that thread... I had to use it too to access the account for pc donations.

Hi Debbie!

What a fan club you have! No worries, it's all in the bag, I mean look at all this support for you, honey!

And you caught me at a good time! Way to go. Yesterday I didn't know if I would be able to get more milk. Today I received my claim refund cheque for what I paid to go to the Endodontist 3 weeks ago. It took its time getting here, mind you. Slow boat to China and all. So, I did the PayPal thing, it's gone through, done deal. Not a fortune, but it will help PC anti up its share. hehe And my prayers for you go along with it! We've got to keep your doggies warm too!

If this isn't God's work, I don't know what is!
blessings from my heart,

Dear eskilover,

well done for trying to remain level-headed in the face of difficulties. You seem to be managing to maintain a sensible and pragmatic attitude and I admire you for this.

I will use Pay Pal to send in a donation. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give something back to the Psych Central community.

Best Wishes,
Adam

I was in the process of thanking everyone last night when my internet went down for the night.....sometimes that happens out here in the country.....it's a little local internet company that mostly does a good job but every once in a while there is a glitch, or the water tower gets hit by lightning....luckily that wasn't what happened last night....just must have been a glitch.....maybe to guarantee I would take a break & get some sleep,...lol. When there isn't anything more that can be done....it's time to sleep.

New day.....new energy,
Debbie

Your fortune in prayer is gratefully accepted.....I know personally how valuable prayers are........& have seen their answers (even when I have to search a little bit at times to see them).

My thanks to you for your wonderful prayers....they are all part of the support that is very much appreciated,

Debbie

Thank you for your support.......yes, it is very maddening to go through dealing with a situation like this. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to do is reach out for myself.....easier to do it for others.

You all are so wonderful at reaching back.......I am so overwhelmed by everyone's support both emotional & financial.....I am honestly speechless....& for me, that's something.

(((((((Perna))))))),

Oh yes....contractors.......I can understand the need for DIY in most cases.....there are just some things that are impossible to DIY. Love the photo of your porch & deck work......yikes....a year...oh yes, they always want money for work they haven't done or work they haven't done right.....bet you never use then again....at least they finished it & finished it right (I hope????)

Thank you very much for your support....fincially & sharing your horror stories...lol. I don't feel so all alone when I hear what others deal with also. I am sure things will get straightened out....when I get my head above water...then I will see if I can persue legal matters.....just don't have money to throw away like I have with the legal system in other situations.

Hope you are enjoying your deck & screened in patio this summer.....I can just picture it now....oh how relaxing......aaahhhhhh.

Debbie, so sorry to hear about the hard situation your in. I completely understand. I've been out of work for 2 years now and just recently started getting disability. But not before I lost everything and filed for bankruptcy. If it wasn't for family buying us food and paying our electric over this last year we wouldn't of made it.

Have you talked to the electric company about paying part of your bill? Our's down here let us make payments. One month of our electric bill was over $300 for just one month. You can also get them to set your electric bill to one price if you had them for a year. They like average your bill out over a year so you don't get hugh bills.

Is it your heating unit that got jacked up? If you have to get it replaced our friends heat pump went out on them and since they were low income the electric company had a program that replaced their pump and they make small payments on their electric bill for the new unit. The pumps are great I love them. Heat in the winter and AC in the summer which you know is a must have in Kentucky. Trying to think of other things that could help you. You know to talk to the Community Action in your area, they also do weatherization to your house to help cut down on your energy bills. If your low income you qualify for that as well. They do insulation and seal up cracks around your windows, things like that.

http://kaca.org/WhatWeDo/EnergyAssis...6/Default.aspx

I wasn't sure of the county you live in, so I just have the list. Contact them and talk to them about your situation. If you know ahead of time which programs you may need you'll get help faster. People just tend to help you for the things you ask about and don't tell everything you may qualify for.
http://kaca.org/Agencies/AgencyList/...2/Default.aspx

I hope this helps. I'm not able to make a donation, but I can donation my time. And if all else fells, I have an extra room.

Lis

((((((((Mary & beadys)))))))))),

You know friend that your prayers are the most valuable support you can give.....I greatfully accept them. Please no bad feelings...Know that your caring & prayers are what keep me going through this & provide me with the hope that goes beyond the financial end of this situation.

Am in the process of reporting to the BBB & also filing a complaint with the licensing group for HVAC..know he isn't licensed & there is nothing they can do about that....but it will get an inspector out to check out my system (not sure I want to know how bad it really is....who knows what they might find....hopefully no stolen parts....~hides head~). At least when an inspector comes out, they will be able to list everything wrong so I will have more to fight with & also a list I can give to a real licensed HVAC person to finish the job right.

Found out the guy just does odd jobs like this....so he isn't even a business.....this is what I get for trusting my friend to find good people to do my jobs....he hired this guy to do is own heat pump system.....luckily there wasn't anything wrong with his system, so he got away with his incompetence. I am beginning to think someone dumped this unit on the guy, knowing it had a bad compressor & I got stuck with it.....I will never hire anyone who doesn't have all sorts of references & licenses.....NEVER NEVER NEVER.

Will get into the war once I am safe with the electric company & can focus on the fight & accumulate all my weapons againse him.

Mary, please know how special your support & prayers are to me,

Debbie

eskielover,

I wish that I could assist you financially, my income is strongly restricted. It's wonderful that this site has recognized the situation you have fallen into and are raising some funds to help you through! I hope that your church and Salvation Army are able and willing to donate a significant amount of money to ease your suffering.

You are in my thoughts. Very best wishes to you and your family!

I know I am speechless with all the wonderful support with prayers, cares & with the financial help.....I never imagined that there would be so much support.....guess this is God's way of showing me that, YES, you are not alone. God does answer prayers in mysterious ways at times.....still scratching my head on this one????

I am glad you got the money to cover your cost of the endodontist...it does take time to get those refunds through the system.

Thank you much for your financial support. You are right....every bit does help as PC matches what is sent in. How wonderful DocJohn is to have something like this available for emergency situations like this. Thank you especially for sending your blessings & prayers along too....know they are what helps get me through the stress & gives me the energy to keep up the fight I have still left to go.

Just want to let you know how much your caring means to me,
thank you so much

Debbie
