I was wondering if anyone had thought of a PC store? Selling various items with the site name on it and such, maybe raising money for the site or not... I was thinking of opening one through cafepress, I have some ideas for shirts and such. (I did this for another site) if you are interested to see the shop please PM. Ozzy, Doc John ???

I'm kind of on the fence about this. I don't have any major privacy issues, but I'm still not sure I'd want to broadcast that I participate here. I would possibly be interesting in buying promotional items that enourage compassion for those with mental health issues, but I'm not sure I'd wear a t-shirt screaming "I HAVE PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES".

But tell us more... what specifically did you have in mind?

I bought a shirt before I knew my dx that said:
"I A thought about a store... my attitude problem"

Little did I know what my "problem" really was at the time, but I still wear it....proudly!

I have an orange shirt "inmate" type shirt that says "Phych Ward" with some numbers below it. My best friend in the world (the only person I'd appreciate a joke like that from) got it for me years ago. And I still wear it. I think it's a good idea provided the items for sale appeal to the different personalities around here. For instance, I don't mind funny stuffs about the issues but others might. I guess that as long as there's something for everyone it would be very cool. Thanks spaz.

I thought you meant that PsychCentral would have a professional looking logo, and the store would sell mugs, tshirts, mouse pads, etc. I think that would be nice.

I thought about that Zensky. Here was what I envisioned (remember, I'm a professional worrier....).

Doc has said that he doesn't know this guy, he just snapped his pick while out hiking. So, if Doc starts SELLING stuff with his bod A thought about a store... all over it, and this guy finds out - he'll sue Doc for all the profits - which off course Doc would have already reinvested in PsychCentral.

So, Doc would have to sell his house to pay off the guy!!

See....this is why I am a professional!! NO ONE does it better than me! I should write a self-help book on how to worry real goodly!!!! A thought about a store...

zh - You want Hottie Guy's legs and Inky will want Doc's photo. But the legs will get Doc sued, and I don't want to drink from John's head. That's just wierd. It's too....Hannibal/Ray Liotta, ya know?

(Do you think these people are beginning to understand how nuts I am?)

Ok here's the deal, there would be lots of different options, some might say the website, others might just say PC as an idea, to maybe identify ourselves with other fellow PCers? Also some might have some funny sayings, like Ryan's idea or a shirt that would say I'm nuts and could have a squirrel? just some thoughts! If you want to see what I've done for the other site just send me a pm, since I don't think I'm allowed to post a link to that site here.

Actually, there is a PC store, sort of. Cute stuff, but needs improvement--like items with much bigger PC logos (the legs guy), and could also use, yeah, um, Doc's head. LOL A thought about a store...

I'd like a T-shirt with a pic of a straight jacket and something witty about liking it.

Maybe we should come up with site slogans for Doc to put on his T-shirts. Hey doesn't really have one, does he?

Drat, I can't beat the one about the straightjacket! But I had to mention my two favorite tees: both have one of those circular, academic-looking college emblems in the middle. In passing they look just like tee shirts from any university. But around the emblem, one sez "Psychotic State" and the other sez (you guessed it ) "Neurotic State."

I'll forget I have one of them on and someone around me will start laughing, maybe even pointing... Good thing I usually figure it out quickly (even in my typical Neurotic State)! A thought about a store...

Hey, those tees would be easy to reproduce... Mine have no brand/copyright on them or anything...
