Don't be discouraged. There's no better path to victory than practice.

Well, Hell!!! Now I'm jealous!! All I've got here at home is the basic eight with a Dora the Explorer coloring book! But hey! I can go sniff the new box, can't I? LOL

Speaking of practice... I could practice my painting. Only I can't find my practice sheet for Sweet Peas! gggrrrr You'd think they were easy enough, wouldn't you? Oh, well. I'll just make myself happy by sniffing the Crayolas. Discouraged

Do you know if they still make that grade school paste?? Discouraged

You gotta remember, Pat and I go waaaaaaaaay back! I like the smell of play dough well enough, but you should have whiffed the old fashioned clay we played with. Still, though. Nothing beats the smell of Crayolas and paste. Discouraged

Oh girls don't forget the old-fashion Gum Erasers, they fell apart as you used them, and finger paints

Thanks again Tomi. You're right, pracice makes ALMOST perfect. No victory is without flaw but then again without flaws we wouldn't learn. Anyway, thanks.

Crayolas and paste. Aaaaaaah

Can't forget the smell of mimeographs. (Like THAT didn't date me or anything)

I'm a perfectionist. Having to practice just pisses me off. I want to be good at something before I've ever done it. Discouraged

LMAO WI Fighter. Were we siblings in a past life? I'm EXACTLY the same way, and if I'm not good at it, then damn it I'm not gonna do it at all.

Ry, OMG, that's it exactly. I took my daughter to an indoor rock climbing place for her birthday. We happened to be the only ones there due to the time of day and it was a weekday (no school that day), and I made sure I kept out of sight of the owner so I didn't feel like an idiot. Had there been other people there, I probably wouldn't have tried the bouldering section at all because I could only manage a couple of feet across the wall before my fingers gave out and I had to jump down.

Now, mind you, it WAS fun, but I just hate looking uncoordinated.

My brother is similar, only if he can't HAVE the best of something he'd rather do without.

My mom isn't like either one of us. She'll make do with what she has and has no problems looking like a fool as long as she's having fun.

LMAO Yup! You sure did date yourself! How well I remember that smell. Shortly after high school, I had the chance to work for a publishing house. From time to time, I had to go to the "shop" to help with the copying of material. Guess what machine I trained on? YEP! The mimeograph machine!! Discouraged I was in 7th heaven... except for the headaches I got from the fumes. I was in the beginning of my first tri-mester. Discouraged

SM, all you really missed out on was a case of white lung. Well, at least that's what I tell myself because I only got to dust the erasers once. Discouraged

Since Ry deleted the first post of this thread, are we *really* guilty of threadjacking it, or has it turned into another free-for-all?

I used to love when our biology teacher let us have class outdoors when we were dissecting nasty, smelly things.

Hope you aren't still feeling discouraged Ry. Things seem to be looking up for you right now. <hugs>

Oh, duh, sorry. I could have sworn it said Ryan. I'm just a 'tard. I saw where it said "by Ryan" when he replied and my brain said he started it.
