I'm in a very low place today. I saw my T yesterday and I guess a lot of emotions got stirred and I just can't seem to shake it. I did some cutting yesterday, which I hadn't done in weeks and this morning have repeatedly made myself throw up. I feel empty inside. We discussed my need to feel my "father-figure" hole inside, and how I put him (my T) in that spot. And I do. I won't go see him again until next week and part of me wants to see him now and the other part doesn't want to go back and get myself entagled in such emotional feelings. I don't know if any of this makes any sense. I just really need some support right now.

valcat, that sounds tough. is there any way you can distract yourself from feeling that that? being in company, getting out somewhere, that kind of thing?

I'm sorry that you are feeling so down in the dumps right now valcat. You have me and all the others here and please feel free to PM me anytime if you want to talk, ok?. I've only been to a few pdocs and I know how some of the memories/issues during these sessions can come flooding back and bring up all kinds of emotions and other issues. Best of luck to you hon!!

So sorry that things got all stirred up for you. Sounds like your T responded caringly and promptly. That's good.

Thanks so much fayerody, silver queen, GreyGoose, wants2fly

I saw my therapist and it was obvious that the previous day's session had stirred up something inside and even though we have not exactly figured out the root of that problem, we talked about more constructive ways for me to handle these emotions other than inflicting pain on myself. It's a constant struggle but today is another day and going much better than yesterday. Thanks to all of you for the words of encouragement when I needed them most.
