I have been doing a lot of meditation about positive outcomes and healing energy for my husband and our family during these upcoming times of surgery and the unknown. I have given away almost all of my rabbit herd, I have 7 bunnies left. I have given away most of the excess cages and today, with the help of a dear animal loving, wildlife rescuing friend I brought my baby Jennie ferret to her new home. She was afraid in her cage on the trip so I let her run around the van. I took her to the park to play and I brought her to meet her mom. Mom is great, rescues baby squirrels and releases, does birds, ducks, rats, you name it. Jennie was nervous but did well. I told the lady all of her quirks like really not liking the water bottle but preffering to get out and use the giant cat and dog water dish. Showed her how Jennie drinks from a glass. Told her that her favorite bed was in there but very dirty. She pulled out a ferret sleeping bag of the same fleece and fake sheep skin and in goes Jennie. I told her she is a good hider and loves to find anything you have lost, especially if you accidentally lost the graham crackers in the low cupboard and forgot to close the door she would drag the crackers out for you. Hey Pat, his surgery is on the 26th. I am being ultra positive. At the same time my work is really a drag. Can you make nice vegetarian meals and ship um? Yum. Moving Jennie is the right thing. Problem is she loves me and the critters and will miss us. She will be well loved. So just now I was brushing a few of the little dogs as hubby took them for a run and they returned covered in burdocks. Now I am curious, do these exist everywhere? There is a town nearby that has a competition each year for the biggest plant! I for one am tired of pulling little prickers out of my clothes when I am through with the brushing.

I can't imagine how difficult that must have been to give up your beloved Jennie. I'm going to understand that pain very soon as I must give mine up as well. I sure am going to miss them. I wish you the best. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi WW -- I know how hard it is to place our pets in homes. I very much miss dogs, and they have been gone almost 2 years. Someday when I have an income and place that allows pets, I will have dogs again.

SS, my friend, the animals will be loved and I know that our energies are in another place right now. Your kind thoughts are always valued. To Jmo, Wants and Jennie, my goodness Jennie, are you my ferret? Just kidding. To you folks thanks for the kind words. I have my dogs and they are a handful and a half. I also have hunbbie's bottle lamb who thinks he is a human or maybe a dog. We have to figure out how to make life more simple. Daughter's car died the other day due to neglect and now we are having stress over that. I think I will buy a few mules huh? Just kidding. Life goes on and so will ours. Hubby is going to be fine and so are the critters. They are my family too. Thanks everyone.

Oh my dear friend SS, where I live there are no buses and the school is 20 miles away south, and the job is 20 miles away north. It is hard to be down a car. What bothers me most is she assumes we will make arrangements for her even if it is a large pain in the butt. But alas, it is good to speak with you. My friend's son is putting a car together for her and will have one for the youngest by the time she is driving. Used cars? I hate new cars, I get them and spend a fortune and put a lot of miles on them and they die while I owe. I figure cheap used cars are the way to go for the kids at least.
