Is there anyone out there who feels like it's no wonder that people are crazy these days with the way things are??? I mean I just got done reading about a someone trying to abduct children in my rural neighborhood and I can't let my 8 year old walk to the bus, even though I can see her walk and wait, she is still too far for me to help her if someone should pull up in a car, so I can walk her to the bus, but that means getting up at 4:30 am so that I can do the right thing and still exercise for my health, so that I can do the right thing and go to work, so I can do the right thing and pay my bills, which are a killer (500.00 a month daycare and gas prices, alone), so then I find I need a degree in this great country to further my wealth so I do the right thing and go to school. Well, I am able to cope with the help of therapy and Lexapro, but some days I just want to say, No Wonder!!!! Can't we go back to days when life was simple??? I fantasize about moving to Europe or anywhere where the pace is a little slower. I'm not always so proud to be American and get so angry and want to scream "WHY CAN''T WE PEOPLE GET A CLUE???"

Hi there,
Welcome to our forums. Sometimes I think most of us feel like that, and it is overwhelming. As far as you wanting to move to Europe? I know people from various countries, it's not any better, my husband goes to some of the european countries on business, he says the pace is not any different, and in the larger cities, like here, the pace even gets worse, sooooooooooo I personally rather stay here in the US.
I agree, things have become just terrible, and again this is my own opinion, is because we need stricter laws towards child molesters, pedophilia is on the rise, if the laws start being made stricter for such offenses perhaps things can get better.
I dream of a simpler time too Go Figure!!!!
You mention that people, yourself, need a degree(s) to further oneself, Europe is not any different, and it has been said the standards of education are higher in most Asian and European countries, the US ranking low Go Figure!!!!
I don't think there is Utopia anywhere, well I've seen towns on our map named that, ha!ha!
I'm happy you got to vent, though.
I think we all need to vent, I do that in my car sometimes, talk to myself, my dogs, the human family members don't like that, acccuse me of complaining Go Figure!!!! Go Figure!!!!
I am wishing you better days to come,
Sincerely,

DE
