My therapist and I have a great relationship. We are so in tune with each other, there are boundaries of course but to me she is a true angel and I really believe that someone was looking after me at the time I needed help so badly
 Today we were talking about my inner child as I've had a few dreams recently and she was helping me to interpret them. We somehow got onto the subject of there not being any help for small children who are abused in this country,. They have no one to talk to in foster care or even if they go on to be adopted. I said to my therapist I'd love to do my degree and go on to do something about that, starting in Derbyshire where we live. She said that from her heart if I did my training she thinks I'll make a great psychotherapist and also said if I wanted to start a scheme in schools she would be right there helping me and joining me in trying to make a difference to abused children ... this is a dream of mine and she has really inspired me to get a move on with my training ... I just had to share this news, I'm so happy. I think this is what I was put on this earth for, this is my vocation ..... thank you for listening .... *contented sigh*.Kerry

I think it is a terrific idea. There are not enough people like you in the world. And just maybe we would not be forced in unsafe foster homes. Maybe we would not need a website called "parents behaving badly" to raise public awareness of how we treat children. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much. I am going to an open day at the university to get things moving. If I can get the 10 week counselling course completed, then another short introductory course I can start the diploma in September then go on to a degree ....
My therapist says she will be behind me all the way and has always said she'll help me with placements etc .... We may small fish in a vast ocean, but someone has to start somewhere giving these children a chance. They need an ear and a voice .... thank you for your support. Ophelia xxx

How exciting to take on something so meaningful *and* to have your therapist right there with you
