very offensive daily bp email

I didn't know where else to post this...how come it's okay to give graphic teaching on "bj's" and send it to my email and yet everyone is in a tizzy over the "f" word being used in the subject line??? Someone venting and using a little colorful language bothers me far less than getting unsubscribed-to pornographic email (at least that 's what this email looked like.)

gg, that was from a poster who repeatedly comes on in the middle of the night, posts the same nasty stuff over and over again, gets banned, and then comes back a couple months later with a new account and does it again-- in the middle of the night when no mods are around. He/she does it in every forum, too. It's really sick.

"E-mail" and "Private Messages" are two totally different things. If it was PM (Private Message), take it up with one of the mods. Otherwise, there's not much that can be done about what you get in your "email"... I don't think... except for a program that sorts out your email for stuff like that.

Tomi, I think it came to gg's email through her daily log of the forums.

we ve got disgustin email befor also. i thought that was illeagal but it is legal i guess.

Some people have their profile set up so that they recieve a daily log of all the posts in a selected forum. It's sent to their email. When the gross poster came back last night and posted disgusting messages, they probably were sent with the daily log to gg. I believe messages that are deleted still get sent to the daily log. Not sure on that though.

Does that clear it up? Clear as mud? lol

Sorry I haven't responded to your posts. I've been away from this site for quite a while. Yes, I do get the daily logs sent to my email. Thanks for the explanation. I need to get back here more regularly.

It's not okay. It's just that sometimes we're able to pull these posts right away and sometimes it takes a little longer.

oh man am i glad i read this. this morning a strange email was on my home page account and even thoug i an't get virus' i didn't look at the attached photo of the person, just hit the good ol delete button. I hate to think what the picture was. i'm just wondering how he got my address.....

Some people just SPAM at will with no regard to who they're sending it to. I know AOL has a Member's Directory, but AOL also has a SPAM filter that either stops that stuff or sends it to the SPAM folder.
