Like Sept, I have no sixth sense on this one either. I saw the interview where he incriminated himself about the kids sleeping in his bed. I felt that he is a very disturbed, troubled. lonely man who was trying to make up for a deep lonliness. It occured to me that it could be molestation but more then that I saw a lonely man who wanted to "feel connected" with the child, thus the play land he invented and the extravagance. My kids slept with us whenever they wanted, and occasionally some strays would wander in. I always asked the parents about it before hand though, and usually hubby would bed-hop to an empty bed. However, guilty or not, there is an issue where our culture shames anyone who wants to be close, to kiss, to hug, to touch in non-sexual ways. We have strong tabboos on it. So when I see my youngest daughter go back to visit her middle school, "she is graduating highschool 4th in class on friday", and her middleschool friends, it amazes and delights me to see boysw and girls hugging and kissing and sitting on top of eachother and rough housing. Our mainstream culture has sexualized all of that. What a shame.

Good point ww... I'm sure much of Jackson's emotional problems stem from his parent's strictness with the whole family during their upcoming as stars. It amazes me to see him allowing his parents to "comfort" him in this ... but then it looks good for the media and the average person who knows nothing about the abuse he endured.

Some of the pedo radar might be misreading as he is a celebrity and has been one since he was a child himself. I agree ww, however you made sure with the parents beforehand and also made sure to minimize the possible impropriety of it all by hubby finding an empty bed. Now imagine you being accused of something bad happening repeatedly and instead of stopping you just kept right on doing it. What would be the motivation of not stopping i wonder if nothing wrong was happening? I agree with you that people are overreacting sometimes but i look at it as the whole "better safe than sorry" outlook Jackson...

another good point.. and why would he leave this country if he isn't guilty? I mean, unless he thinks he would be less watched, or the political/justice system in another country could be um, bought? Maybe?

I don't think his celebrity has influenced me much. I never did like him or the group before he went solo. However, there is ONE song of his that I go apeshit (pardon the language) over... "Will You Be There." WOW! It was very appropriate for the time he just went through. Wonder if anyone was REALLY there for him through this?

I understand what you're saying, WW. Maybe it's because you and I understand what he could be feeling; the need for "connection"? Jackson...

If I had his dough I'd buy an island and get out of dodge. Some place I could live in peace and enjoy life...away from all of the tabloids. I guess his ranch is his own little island, but I'd be reeeeeeeal gone for a while to get my sanity back. This had to have scared the daylight out of him. I do hope he finds his way now and starts keeping company with adults instead of children.

Well that's another story. Supposedly the 3 mil he had to put up for bond (was that his 10% or what?) was pinching pennies for him. He has been reported (by whom? or why they know this?) to be $30 mil in the red. Of course, if he sold the neverland ranch.. or, we could all go and rent the place for a day or two to play with children.

In the United States, the President will get impeached for lying about sex with a woman but a pop star gets off lying about sex with a minor.

While that may be true, you can pretty much point out inconsistancy in any country.

I do have to wonder why, if he does this sort of thing, that more or many others didn't "come out of the closet" about the shenanigans... I mean, that happens to local pedophiles.. so why not here, if it was true?

Thats a good question Sky. I could see many possibilities, look what happened to the family that accused. They were made to look like shady money grubbing slime. Whether its true or not i dunno but i also know that Jackson's people(to be fair most would do the same) spent big money looking for the dirt. I wouldnt volunteer to have every one of my closets opened up to the world. Hard enough to have it opened up to a court room, imagine having to hear about it for a year on every cable news channel. ALl your neighbors, all your relatives, all your friends being able to look in every crevice, blech, id hide too.

Yes, good thinking there imo. I would think that if there were other victims that someone would have come forward not seeking money, just to make sure Jackson was off the streets, so to speak.
