My math, and not having taken any health related courses in college, tripped me up. So, I immediately enroll in phlebotomy and health math. There are classes that start July 7th. We close the house sale on Monday and I get my pittance from that. (we're suing EVERYONE that touched the paperwork that slandered my title..my lawyer hired a special associate just for this case! I didn't get into nursing school) What I do get will help me pay for the classes and whatever I need...so I'm happy and I'm sad..but more happy than sad. I didn't get into nursing school

By the way, as I try to further my medical education, I have really studied kidney dialysis. I've asked the doctor two medical questions in six months. Monday, I tried to ask him the third. He was very abrupt, that's his personna, and waved me off. His wife called me into her office and demanded that I not ask him anymore questions!!! She said that if I had a medical questions, that I should ask the RN, (remember the one who ignores dying patients?) or HER???? I wrote a one paragraph letter informing them that I would NOT ask anyone any questions..that all of my questions would be directed to Dr. B. (their greatest fear is that another doctor will find out that they are idiots) I didn't get into nursing school I didn't give them the letter, but it sure made me feel better............. :grin I've already told him everything there is to tell about the clinic......... I didn't get into nursing school

And my financial aid goes through 2007!!

Well, I am happy that most things are going well for you I didn't get into nursing school
Oh, I admire you for standing up to that Doc and his wife.
Sometimes professionals get caught up in their egos, kind of forgetting we are all humans.
I hope having to take those other courses haven't impeded on your confidence, you are going to do just fine.
I had to work extra hard on Pre-calc, but got through it by taking the less stressful courses with it, then continued just with that course by itself, I went to college part time but it was better that way for me and my daily schedule.
Kudos to you with this perservance I didn't get into nursing school
I'm wishing you lots of luck and strength with this I didn't get into nursing school

You can do this. Remember, all colleges, (to my knowledge), have free tutoring in math. So, if you need any help, just ask for a tutor. If there's something we can do via pms, I'll help you.

You'll gain a lot of confidence taking these initial courses and one day you'll look back with such pride as you are handed your diploma!

Hugs,

Jan

thank you so much, Jan........i did have a big bawling fit in the truck, after i left my daughter's house. i think that i scared the driver next to me. I didn't get into nursing school i immediately felt better and then Laci called and she didn't get in either.....so, we commiserated and we both will do what we have to do now, to get in in February.

what i couldn't do in math, was the geometry. i cannot understand why you need to know it, for nursing. Dr. B said he's never used it. but, i'll learn it. I didn't get into nursing school

i'm moving more stuff..later, alligators......patsyaboutnormalmaybe

Thank you all so much for your concern and love. You've commented upon my "attitude".......well, I look at it like this, I could curl up in a ball, (and not finish the move)or I can put my tee-shirt on that says, "Queen of the ******* Universe, You got a Problem With That?" and go on.(my kids gave it to me) I've chosen to wear the tee-shirt til it falls off of me in shreds. I didn't get into nursing school (My very favourite tee-shirt says, "Rodeo Naked"! A clown gave it to me about ten years ago.) So, I'm going to keep on keeping on and draw a lot of blood, soon. I'm excited to learn phlebotomy, and no, I will not work for the evil doktar, when I get that certification. I'd stick him, though!! I didn't get into nursing school

The road's not closed to nursing school, you just need to take a detour. Hopefully it will be a scenic one. I didn't get into nursing school
