In order to better help our members use the chat rooms, we've made two minor changes:
- Psych Central room has been renamed the Lobby, to encourage people to move on to a more appropriate room for their conversations. The Lobby should be seen as just that -- a lobby where you're welcomed to hang out in, but are encouraged (but not required -- please, nobody tell people to leave!) to go to the most appropriate room for the way you're feeling today. The Psych Central room has been removed. - My Q&A chats and any other special chats (except the Recovery Chat, for now which will continue to be held in its own room every Tues. night) will now be held in the "Auditorium" room. This is just the name for our new meeting place for these special chats. Best, DocJohn

Thanks so much for clarifying. I know that it seems like a small thing, but I was uncertain what topics were exceptable in the main room.

you know i still have yet to go in the chatroom. My work computer does not have Java, and my tower is firewalling. Ill have to try my other 3 computers I guess!

Sounds like a very positive re-organization....makes so much sense & the names are very appropriate.
It is amazing how just a small change can clear things up.....thank you DocJohn for continuing to make positive changes that fix the little problems that crop up. Debbie

This is really a good arrangement imo. It allows for us to use the lobby to enter, and maybe leave the entire chat area, where some of us often would just find an empty room to enter so we could look around and see all of who was where, and not wishing to interrupt an ongoing chat.
The auditorium is a kewl name too. DocJohn, you must be drinking that expensive coffee and listening to Bach!

LOL i was really confused when I went in chat and there were new names i was like woah! Then i read this post and it all makes sense to me lol =]
