I havn't slept well for a long time and I wake up several times a night.I also have nightmares several nights a week. I live with alot of fear and worry and my husband tells me this contributes to the problem. What do you think?

dogwood,
Your husband may be correct about the worry and fear causing it, but it also could be a physical problem. I think you should check with your physician to make sure that you don't have something like sleep apnea that may be causing your symptoms. I hope you soon find an answer and are able to sleep peacefully. slow

The physical and mental are tied together in profound ways that aren't really understood yet; either could be contributing to troubles with the other. I'd go to your doctor's for a full physical with bloodwork and make sure you didn't have any physical problems that can be easily corrected and then I'd maybe look into seeing a psychotherapist to work on some of the fears, mental difficulties.
