making a post stand out is like weary flashing cloths to get someones attention .. sadly it draws unneeded or unwanted attention..

I perfer to go with the subject and how you say it. You only want certain attention and its best to draw to those people by means in which the subject fits rather then draw everyone and only gain a "physical" presence when you can have the mind

When I see all caps, I hear yelling. It's internet "slang" that using all caps means yelling. So when I see all caps, I usually skip the post. But I think the intentions of your post were good. Sometimes a post just don't get the reaction you want.

Take care!

Yup! First thing I learned about "netiquette" was that all caps means yelling and therefore RUDE. I don't read those posts unless I know there is someone that can't see very well... but then in that case, it's up to them to pick a bigger font. It can be done on your profile page. I like what you say about replying to your own post. Some might find it rude when they ask or say something that warrents a little attention. Also it makes others feel like you are actually careing what they say. That is my opinion and we are entitled to our owm.

Awe, Miss A. You don't need to do any of that...you are a standout and I mean that only in the nicest way! You're very special here at PC and I have to tell you I've enjoyed your fresh and young presence.

Be sweet, Missi

Hi Miss A,

Slightly off topic, but I used to play guitar in a band, and we did a number by Neil Young called 'My My, Hey, Hey' and one of the lines was 'It's better to burn out, than fade away'.

I wonder where the line first came from? It's true to the heart of rock and roll, that's for sure.

I think I prefer fading away myself!

Good thoughts, Myzen HOW TO MAKE A POST STAND OUT

Of course, this is a riot thread, and I can judge that because I'm the only one who was using color, and changing the icons much with each post, prior to you Miss_A and I used lots of quotes and that was all part of my melt down, which I've seen you reading about, so you knew that I pulled all of that so to try to fit in and once I begin again you show up with this hilarious post!
