Hi everybody........you should see where I am staying. Omg, I have my own kitchen, frontroom, and bedroom and bathroom. It is awesome......but no pool,
 lol.They have breakfast in the morning, etc. It is so nice here. The job I think was a good move - only the first day, but good vibes. Alex is not doing well though. I left him a message and he cried for 15 mins. after he heard it. [sigh]. I am going to drive home tomorrow and stay overnight and return on Thurs. Alex is so afraid that I am not coming home. I need to reassure him for awhile. I'm actually enjoying the peace and quiet, and going to contemplate my life. I need this time. I even have homework and tests to take everyday.......have to pass with a 90% each time. Going to get dinner and then study! xoxoxoxox Mary Alice

Glad that it went smoothly and that you are comfortable... but I'm sad for Alex. I'm sure he misses you terribly, but maybe (maybe?) in some way it's good for him? Maybe? Don't know. Hard to say without knowing him. But I'm glad that you're doing well - I can "see" the relief in your font! Yay MA! LMo We are ALL going to be a-ok!

I think that would be very reassuring for Alex to see you tomorrow, and then on the weekend, (I think that's how it is arranged isn't it??? - I get confuzzled sometimes -

Mary Alice,
I'm glad you're here and that you have a chance to relax and take time for yourself. It sounds like a nice place! I really think that this is going to be good for you. Sorry Alex is missing you so much.  But if he didn't miss you at all that wouldn't be normal. He really loves you. And once you are done and are back with him, this will be good for both of you. Thanks everybody.........I'm getting slightly stressed as the evening progresses, but hanging in there. Alex has called me alot and he is happy I am returning tomorrow. And yes, Jill, the plan is to bring them up here for the weekend and they can stay in the room while I work. That made my son happy.
.I hate sleeping in a strange place, you know? It's going to be a long night.......take care all. Talk to you tomorrow night. And thanks for the hugs, we both needed them. Mary Alice

I know you will do wonderful there...they will have plenty to keep your mind occupied. You know Alex will do just fine... When we got back from our three years tour to Italy we came home to visit with family... while here my husband got orders to a school in North Carolina before moving to Texas. so all plans changed... I knew if I stayed with my mother in law I would have ended up killing myself for sure but we didn't want the kids to go to 4 schools in one year. We decided that the kids had to say here with his mother and I went with my husband and it took 6 months till we saw the kids again...talking on the phone with them a few times a week was fine with them. They had a problem to start out with but once they got use to Grandma again things went great and they had a date that I would be there to pick them up. Alex will adjust just fine... give him time but don't run yourself ragged going back and forth... Take care (((((HUGS))))) Somebody |

Sorry, Heather.........but I can send ya something better - fresh baked cookies on Tues.-Thurs........lol. They have them in the lobby for us to take. :::::::::thinking I should grab all the cookies for all of us::::::::::::::::::::::
Alex lied to me tonight - thought if he said something to me I would stay home with him. He told me that my husband had slapped him. I knew better and guessed the reasoning behind it, and he finally admitted that it was a ploy to get me to stay home and not go back to work. [sigh]. It was definitely not a peaceful evening. I have homework to do and laundry and then finally sleep in my own bed........ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Btw, I scored a 100% on my first exam. Here comes the "over achiever" again....  .Mary Alice

And congratulations on doing so well on your test. I had a test today in one of my classes and got 97 (out of 100), and I was okay with that, but I had another test on monday and got 56 out of 65 (86%) and wasn't happy with that one. . I'm going to grab all them cookies and looking forward to the chocolate as well. I always get that lecture Wendy.....it doesn't change things though for me.......now it is like every day is a stress with these tests and doing well. Glad I got some rest last night and this morning.....staying here now till next Tues. my day off. Then I have to drive to those tests at the hospital in the morning. Wonderful............lol. Wed. is T day and then back up here. Where is my rest?????????? My little bouncy guy is perky.....way too much energy like my son . I need some of that.Mary Alice

Hey Mary Alice, sorry I am so slow to answer this. Just wanted to say that though Alex (that is my son's name too!) is feeling a little upset right now the fact that you are making the changes in your life to improve your mental state will only help him more in the long run. Big hug to you.
