As i have psoted --- i was in a car accident just recently.
Well i am seeing an orthopedist and a neurologist for pain but another thing that is bothering em from the accident i haven't told anyone --- and it is getting worse ---

When the car crashed -- i hit the air bags and my right breast got severely bruised and has a large contusion behind the bump. as the bruising is going away the contusion is causing moments of sharp pain.
I cannot get up the nerve to see a dr. to discuss this
has anyone ever experienced contusions on their breast and does the contusion and pain just go away or do i need to get up the nerve to see a doctor.
Thanks

I would definitely get up the nerve quickly to go see a doctor about it! Why allow to let something get worse? A few moments of embarrassment is well worth not allowing something worse to develop.

SOrry you are having such a rough time ! I would personally see a Doctor, however, I know some people dont like seeing Doctors about "female" issues. If the airbag deployed, and hit you in the chest, it would be expected to be sore, and probably have some bruising. (My daughter-in-law had an accident May 21 and she was 8 months pregnant - and she had bruising on her breasts and soreness. She didnt even tell the Doctor at the ER cause she was so concerned about the baby ....baby now born, happy, healthy and beautiful!!!!). Her bruising and soreness is now gone, but she did use alternating ice and heat packs for several days after the wreck. I would use more ice than heat however, as heat can increase the blood flow to the bruised area. (I am alittle unclear about what you are experiencing - since contusion and bruise mean the same thing). If you have a lump that has formed , its probably a result of the air bag, but really, if it were me, I think I would see a Doctor just to be on the safe side.

Hope you soon feel better !

Hi Vanna,

Please go see a Dr. today. You need to be checked. It could be several things and without being crude, there is nothing that Dr hasn't seen. Go be checked and be safe.

Cheers,

January

airbags are "known" for breaking ribs. Did you self diagnose the original soreness? I'm assuming you don't have implants. Take care of yourself!
