...physically, that is. I'm sick with a sore throat, runny nose, etc etc. However, I'm going in for one last visit with my old T (I requested we stop the session, she keeps scheduling random ones months inbetween) and she is coming up 9 months pregnant. I was wondering if I should cancel, because I don't want her to feel obligated to see me at the risk of her/her baby getting sick. I don't neeeed to go, but I guess I'd like to see her, and I don't want her to be slightly resentful the whole time, you know? Anyways, I was just wondering. The appointment is tomorrow, and as of now my only meds are warm salt water gargling, motrin, and lots of water.

Should I go?

IMHO - if you feel that you have had closure with this T, and you had requested to end therapy with her some time ago, I would not go. For those reasons, as well as the compassionate concern you are showing for her and her unborn baby. I know I appreciate a client changing an appointment if they are sick !

Good luck - and I hope u feel better soon ! (I swear by gargling with warm water and Kayro Syrup -it is sooo soothing !!! )

Just got back from the doctors. He said it can be contagious and gave me a note to be absent from work for the next two days. I think I'll just go anyway, and before we go her office, I'll tell her I'm sick and if she's not comfortable we don't have to sit and talk. I'm sure she'll appreciate that.

Miss,

Call her and tell her you are sick and contagious. Give her the choice. She and the baby do not need to be sick. It's dangerous. If you have to, you can talk over the phone.

Feel better soon!

Many, many hugs,

Jan
