Eskielover is nearly a 5-year member here at Psych Central and has been a supportive and positive influence in our community for all that time.

This past winter has been devastating for her financially though, as she tried to have her heating system replaced to get her through the winter. Through no fault of her own, the job went horribly awry due to faulty equipment and a thoughtless contractor, and she ended up having huge electric bills in her home throughout the winter just to keep from freezing.

This has resulted in a significant back-due electric bill, that recently resulted in her electricity being turned off. She has gone through public assistance and charity organizations, and is trying all avenues to get whatever funds she can to get the electricity back on and kept on.

I know these are rough economic times for many people, but I want you to seriously consider donating to this Community Fund Drive for eskielover and her need to pay toward her outstanding electric bill. Our last fund drive was nearly 4 months ago. I know that a financial contribution may not be possible, so if that's the case, please leave your prayers and thoughts for eskielover privately or in this thread.

Psych Central will match dollar for dollar of every dollar donated (up to the maximum of $250; $500 total to the member). Every dollar counts, so even if you can afford just $5, please consider this request.

Donations can be made through PayPal to us at:

donations@psychcentral.com

(If you need the PayPal button to donate, you can use this PayPal donation button.)

Otherwise, send your check or money order (no cash, please) to:

Liviant LLC
PO Box 5464
Bradford, MA 01835

Everyone who donates gets access to our exclusive Poohbah Forum, and our thanks for helping out another member in need in our community.

This Community Fund Drive will run for approximately one week; donations will close on Monday, June 1, 2009.

As always, I thank you for your kind consideration and support.

Best,
DocJohn

I want to thank Doc John & the Community team for reviewing my situation & understanding my need. I have been posting about this situation for awhile under "I have run out of Patience" http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=97256

I know my posts turn into novels at times.....seems it's hard to a lot into a few words so it's understandable that they are difficult to read at times.

The situation went from bad to worse to even worse.....once I went through my budget with all the expenses (after the electric company had strong armed me into agreeing to the amount they wanted each month).....I came up several hundred short.

My lawyer knew of this guy.....ended up he was a crook....not licensed & didn't have a licensed company he was working under like he implied (never ever go on implications....only facts & proof). Not only that, but he owns nothing & has been in prison for writing bad checks before....pretty much judgment proof. He said it would not make sense to throw money into legal costs only to get a judgment that I could never collect on. It has been obvious that its all been lies about the wrong compressor & the back order situation at the beginning or the guy would have been willing to get me the proof for me to send to the manufacturer.

It was at that point I knew my financial trouble with the electric company wasn't going to go away. Not only that but with the bad check he wrote the first time, I had extra fees & late fees that added up on top of just the bill.......so what was just over $2300 ended up being almost $2400. I had paid $1000 & what is now owed is just over $800.

Like Doc John said...I have gone to community assistance...then ran out of money for electric bills in March....which was when I finally got my compressor in & the manufacturer would finally review my situation.....they also let me think they would help....NO. That has left me with one time small amounts of help which are wonderful everything counts at this point. I have an appointment with Salvation Army next wednesday to see if they will do a one time help of another small amount......the Christian Life center also helped. My church is also trying to find some help.

I have appreciated all the support from everyone on my thread I posted.....the encouragement through all of this is wonderful & has helped keep me going. I never thought it would get to this point of needing financial help that I couldn't take care of myself.

I know emotional support through this means as much as financial.....I do want to thank PC for having a fund like this available for emergency situations like this......there isn't enough thanks in my heart for the support you all at PC have given over these last 4+ years.

Thank you all,
Debbie

I guess there's no way to tell without going there and looking, if we'll even want access. When we donate, how do we arrange for our access (introductory or otherwise)?

Make payable to:

Liviant LLC

Access is granted if you note your username when you pay (on the check, money order or PayPal donation). If you've already donated, drop me a PM with whatever email address or what-not that you used for the donation and I'll get you setup with access to the forum. The forum is simply a private place for members to share without it being public (since it's not open to the general public).

Thanks!

I know exactly what you mean about Disability checks not going far these days......I am on disability also......& it doesn't stretch as far as it used to in the past.

I want to thank you for the support you could put into the fund. That is very kind of you.
All support whether financial or not is very much appreciated.

Thank you much for your thoughts & prayers......they are very much appreciated......& especially your understanding of the situation.....sad that you have experiences such a situation yourself. It is a horrible place to find yourself.....especially when I thought I would be able to hold the people who were responsible accountable for their actions.

Yes, the one time help is a great thing......am talking with Salvation Army tomorrow afternoon also....they have a small amount available to help me through this month also.

Thank you again for your thoughts & prayers

(((eskielover)))) Sure hope things turn about for you soon. When I went to the paypal account, I found a small amount balance, so added that to yours. I hope it wasn't from a previous donation to the community fund...that didn't go through... but it's yours now.

Take care of yourself...do your best... pray.
