I can't stand this anymore. At no time in my life have I ever used up all of my sick time at a job. I did now, I have no more. I have no time to be sicka nd I am really behind on paperwork. I feel so ill I am not sure I can crawl out of the rut that i am in. I really hate this iwth a passion. I am trying to work today, at least a part of. Even considering asking a support staff to come take dictation fo me. Waiting for my super to call me. I don't feel well at all. I really can't stand this at all. HELP, I fear losing my job.

Hi wisewoman,

Losing a job through ill health is the pits.Is there any way that you can get some representation or some union help?

I hope this gets easier for you.

Good thoughts, M

Wisewoman. Take a moment and a few deep breaths.
Have you talked to your supervisor about any of your problems? Not in a way you would with your T, but just letting them know what you are going thru?
When I was at my worst and ended up in a PHP program before I went I talked to my boss and let them know what was going on. I was amazed on how supportive they were and how supportive they continued to be.
I don't know if you feel comfortable talking to your super, but at this point it can only help you.
This is just my thoughts. I wish you well and will hold you in my thoughts. ((((((((HUGS to YOU))))))))))

try your best to make it in to work wise, it's much more depressing to be at home and not making an income, believe I know.

I did one home visit and a few calls and I feel so ill. My head hurts, my belly wants to revolt and my digestive system is unimpressed by the antibiotic. I need to have some focus and energy.

I have been in your place and it's not a comfortable one, I know. I'm so sorry. I've read the other posts and they include all the other helpful suggestions I can think of about talking to your supervisor.

Please get some Dannon yogurt and eat as much of it as you can. If you can't stand the taste, get some acidophilous at the drug store and take it to counteract the effect your antibiotic is having on your digestive system. You will feel much better.

Jan

I'll support the yogurt and acidophilus. Been on acidophilus now with my normal vitamin regimen and it's seemingly doing a great job. Only one day in the last 6-months of intestinal problems that went away soon after. Trader Joes stores have a great yogurt selection - I've taken to their plain yogurt and put in some berry preserves and maybe some granola into it. A great energy boost in the morning.

((((((((((((wisewoman)))))))))))))),

I realize what a difficult position you are in....hopefully there may be a way for you to do at least some of your work while at home & hopefully your supervisor will be understanding about your situation.

My situation was different in that it was my job that was causing my problems initially. I felt like a wild animal that had been trapped in a corner (of a job that i hated & no way to escape). It was at the 1st of the year & had just had the Christmas break that I just couldn't get myself to go back to work. I didn't have much sickleave either but the company would advance it up to 650 hours. Just at the same time, the Northridge Earthquake hit & everything was closed down for a while.....then I tried to go back only it was a 6 hour drive both ways.....lets see, that allowed for 3 hours of sleep time in the day. I completely lost it & refused to force myself into that kind of situation for a job that I hated (I had been transferred into an area that I didn't want to be in after I realized what was involved with it).

My department would continually call me up at home & I was starting to avoid them & was thinking I was going crazy & having a "nervous breakdown"....didn't know any other term at the time. Then my insurance required that I get mental health treatment. I had to decide what to do with my life at that time & my brain wasn't in a place to make any major decisions. Wow did life get complicated so quickly. I realized that I couldn't go back to that job at all & ended up starting a Workmans comp case (which I lost in the long run).

I hope you won't have to make any hard decisions especially if you like the job you are doing. Hopefully your situation will settle down & your stress level will decrese so you can start feeling better. I know that when I am feeling stress, I am physically no good either.

Please take care of yourself & relax for a while if you possibly can....then you will be able to think more easily,

Debbie

I am not sure where you are from but in New York --- they have a program called the Family medical leave act. your HR department should have the information and it really should be readily posted somewhere.
Hope all gets better
Take care

Sick again tonight, as soon as drugs wear off. I am tired of it all. Thanks a bunch.
