i'm listening to the trial that involves the daycare operator giving a baby an overdose of something like benadryl. the prosecution maintains she does this to make the children sleep. she bought 63 bottles of the cold medicine in one year from Cosco???

however, what i just noticed is this..a forensic specialist mentioned that he teaches a drug course, every year, in Hong Kong, to our armed forces...excuse me, but why does the armed forces have to have a meeting in Hong Kong?? wonder what that is costing us?

I guess id need to know where the soldiers he is teaching are stationed. If they are in the US and all fly to Hong Kong then yeah, thats crazy waste of money. If they are in Korea and other parts near there and thats the closest to all of them then maybe it makes sense. Guess id wanna know more info.

So it's like a drug conference in Hong Kong and they're flying them there specifically for this?? Sounds to me like another excuse for a tax write off....at our expense!

my understanding that it is the bigwigs from the pentagon and the last time i checked, the pentagon is still in the U.S. good grief!! no wonder the people are so skeptical about the government.

how about the $230million bridge, that is being built in Alaska? it is going to a small island that is the home to 50 people. the chairman of the "pork barrel" committee is the senior statesman from Alaska. good grief!! good grief!! good grief!! good grief!! good grief!!

That is different yes. I just didnt want to say it was for sure a waste since i didnt know the specifics.

Geez 230 million dollars for a bridge? They should spend that way more wisely by pitching in to build my Twins a new stadium! After all playing baseball indoors is a crime good grief!! Seriously tho, its amazing how much money gets wasted when there are so many good causes that have to go without or with underfunding.

he also indicated that he's taught there for 8 years. so, we've paid for a lot of trips for those guys.

the bridge blows my mind. i heard about it, before it passed through the committee. jon stewart mentioned it one night. how many homeless people, could that provide work and homes for? a few. or how many school supplies? i have a teacher friend who spends her own money on necessities for her fourth grade class.

our government wastes money all the time...for pete's sake they put a $50,000 coffee pot on an airplane that will still perk when the plane crashes...no wonder we are in such poor shape here
