Only everyone of us no doubt isadora. I may be overstating it but those thoughts and feelings are part and parcel with many mental illness symptoms. It gets hard to keep plugging away and wanting it all to end one way or another is understandable.

At the end of the day it is your symptoms talking. Your brain playing tricks on you to think life will never get better for you. Those are lies. Life can and will get better. Life is worth hanging on to. You can survive whatever you are being hounded by right now.

Don't take it lightly though. Get some help. If you are really afraid you might do something you can't get back then call a crisis line NOW. Call your doctor or if you have a therapist call them asap. You need help to process your thoughts and to help you deal with whatever issues you are facing.

You are not alone hun but you need to take it as a signal to get help to reframe your thinking. Keep talking here or with who ever you have that you can trust to listen and help you.

They think my life is perfect but its not its like hell. Almost everyday i get headache. The other day i was going to take 4 pills but my boyfriend stop me. Life is so unfair.

Yes it can feel that way sometimes. Life does seem unfair but it is what it is isadora and most of what it is we can control.

I am so glad your bf stopped you from taking the pills. You have other choices. You just need to figure out what they are and some times that requires professional help.

It can often feel like no one cares. Obviously your bf does and probably others in your family do to but they are occupied with their own lives and we always want to believe others are fine. Sometimes what we think is not caring is just not understanding. Mental health issues in particular are really difficult to understand. Even the best of families with the best of intentions have a hard time getting their head around mental health issues.

If I had a dollar for every time someone in my family told me to snap out of it when depression had a grip on me I would be a billionaire by now. They mean well but they don't get that it isn't that simple. Chronic or bi polar depression isn't about snapping out of a bad mood.

Headaches may be a symptom of the stress you are feeling or something more serious. Have you seen your doctor lately? Are you getting help from any professional or are you trying to figure this all out on your own? You are not alone here and you don't need to be alone with any of your feelings anywhere.

Want more and find the help you need to get more our of your life and get through what it is you are dealing with right now.

Dear Isadora,

I think you're one of many, many people (including me) who have such thoughts now and then. But there's a real difference between thinking about such things and actually doing something about them. I'm no expert, but from what I've read in the field, I strongly doubt that there are any pills in existence four of which could do anything more than put you to sleep. If you start in on some serious SI, if you start planning ways to do what you're thinking about, then you probably should see a T. But lots of people think about it now and then, but aren't serious enough to do anything about it. Even if it's just thinking, if it gets to be a pain in the neck, consult with a T. But if it's just a five-minute conclusion that what you're going through at that moment doesn't make life worth while, I think you share that with most of the world.

Take care.

That's a very good start isadora. Keep your head up and never give up. Good plan.

I have a 16 year old son and I still remember what it was like to be 17. Even though it was almost 40 years ago. lol

Its an interesting time in life. Still a kid but very much on the road to adulthood. Really coming in to an independant identity. Lots of intense new emotions too. I sooooo remember that.

No doubt a part of you is really anxious to get out on your own and live your life more separate from your parents. It will happen soon enough and day by day you will be getting more and more ready for it to happen.

Taking care of yourself and facing rough patches on your own with a little help from your friends can often be enough to see us through. If it gets too overwhelming don't hesitate to talk with your family doctor. A good one can be an invaluable sounding board if that is all you need and be a source of information and referral to other services if they are every required.

Wishing you well isadora. Have a wonderful weekend. I am glad you feel supported here. Take good care.

Good to hear you can remember that you do have better days. That's important, and something to remind yourself when you have a down day. You won't always feel so bad.

Here's a link to help you plan for when you are your own adult and living your own life: http://www.ehow.com/how_4907279_move-out-own.html

Very wise advice isadora. I think that is why having goals is so critical. We always need something we can work towards so we don't dwell too much on things that might look too ominous in the present or too painful from the past.

Isadora, I can relate to what you were going through. There were many times that I contemplated ending my life. I dedicated some serious thought to the subject. Isadora, the world would be a poorer place without you! You never know the impact you may have on someone's life by performing small acts of kindness. That's what motivates me when I get really depressed.

I am sorry Isadora that you are feeling sad. I sometimes turn to some youtube comedy when I get sad.

Here's one of my favourites....

I hope things turn around for you soon. Take good care.
