Was really getting really angry, irritable and feeling helpless not having a working phone and internet access. I thought maybe I might have some kind of addiction. But I journaled about it and found that these things keep me sane. Won't go into it to much here but as I have written about before, where I live is a no mans land of illegal drug use, poverty, uneducated people in a building owned by people who live out of state and did not even visit their property. The manager ane her handyman husband get into the office about 9:00 or 10:00. They do not check their emails or return voicemails. They even screen their calls. When I call from the VA they pick up right a way. The case manager provides misinformation. I was told to toss my bed a month ago...they promised me a new one. I still do not have one. Last week I went to call my cats in. It was late at night and the drug buying was going on full force. I am moving to Vegas to be near family to make sure that the people I need to depend on are dependable.
Thanks for this!

HowDy, NF. Good to know you are back. When are you moving from this malevolence?

Be well.

As soon as possible or as soon as my monthly benefits are approved. Going through my first appeal w/atty. I can do this! Oh, and the cops are going to get a real detailed report from me so they can take care of the drug problem. Might as well let the City and County Housing Authorities know. Oh, and the tenants council as well. And of course the county mental health organization. Did I mention the police chief and the newspapers? How about the kid's school right in front of our complex? It's good to be back! Bahaha!

Hello Futz!

So great to have you back online! You have been sorely missed. Tell us all about what has been happening with the one legged crack ***** and the other miscreants around your part of the world

Bahaha! Funny you should mention the one legged crack *****. We both had bed bugs and our units got sprayed but she still has them. Karma you know. My other neighbor that had the drinking problem and the seisures had another stroke, went to the hospital because of it while getting ripped off by the mother/son who got his debt card and access code. They went to jail for the night after the liquor store clerk who knew my neighbor called the cops. These are the the same people that called the ambulance for my neighbor in the first place. I hate this place with a passion. I can't wait to move to Vegas. The VA Housing person came by to drop off papers for my move said he would have never would have recommended a dump like this to any veteran even they temporarily fix up each unit to pass Section 8 inspection. One legged crack ***** thinks I am her friend since we have gone through this bed bug thing together...hardly! I felt really negative because I have had to reschedule t and doc appts to let bug guys in.

Thank you! Getting closer to that move than I thought. Got a referral from my group t. She is sending a VA inspector out who has the power to get me into emergency VA housing until my move to Vegas. She asked me to write a statement regarding illegal activities here and to mention and point out the school less than 5 yards from where the felons and drug addicts use and live. Will keep you posted.

Great news! Your calling for help for yourself may result in greater security for the whole neighborhood!

Wishing you a speedy and easy PCS...

The neighborhood is wonderful. I am sure the neighbors hate this complex. It is like that scene in the Wizard of Oz when the door opens to the Yellow Brick Road. A friend pointed out to me that when I step off the property I emit an audible sigh.

That's great news ((NF)) - I'm thrilled you're finally getting out of there. I understand why you couldn't call the police before about the drug addicts, for fear of retaliation. One thing that crossed my mind is - how can you move and make sure those bugs don't get packed up with your stuff? Maybe wash all your clothing and linens in hot water and seal them in those space bag storage bags?? Happy you're back online.

Everything is still in bags. I was so desperate to get rid of them I threw out my bed (again), my sofa and love seat and coffee table. My new bed came from my caseworker is sealed in plastic as of yesterday. On an air mattress up here now. Taken pictures of stuff around here that would not pass inspection (rust spots in sink that were covered in latex paint I guess to make it look okay, the half inch gap under my front door, the wire that was cut and glued to my wall which was a necessary part of my air conditioning which had to be rewired, the crappy tile job in the bathroom). So that is done. I just have to send an email about the safety lights that do not come on at night anymore. Group t said prepare for battle before commencing a shock and awe campaign. Oh, you do not have to do anything for them to visit reprisals on a tennant. The paranoia of the users is enough. Neighbor witnessed a drug buy. Next day her cat was stuffed in a storm drain. Her husband got the cat out alive. they now live in a hotel.
