I saw your cake when you posted it, and I've had the image of it in my mind through all of these discussions. It is such a shame. It is a beautiful cake. If I were just a little bit more gay I would have asked for one for myself too!!

The only things you can do to get past this are the things you can do for yourself. And wait for this to hopefully blow over with them. From past discussions... this is how they are and they are not going to change. It is so sad. I hope things are better on Saturday. Maybe you could turn it into a GI-Joe cake for him... then again, I don't know how you could possibly explain GI-Joe wearing a hoop skirt, so maybe that isn't a good idea.

The things you can do for yourself I think you are already doing. Finding a way to get meds I think is most important. I don't know if that effects the relationship with your family, but it sure does effect your own mood and your ability to deal with it. It must be overwhelming having this incident, the depression, and the stress of not having meds and knowing it could help with the depression, all "working together". I hope you can get your meds soon and that they help.

Also hope you can get your path completed quickly!

I was just thinking of the repairs needed to your house....is there a local community college you could call? Sometimes their carpentry class may be able to come and fix your place up? The students need the practical training and it would be up to code with supervision from their instructor. They have things like this in our area....maybe look into that? There is little or no charge for their work....you may just have to purchase the supplies needed.

I am crossing my fingers for your med situation to work out soon....

Sigh sweety your family I wish I knew what to say there....I don't understand why they continue to do this to you. It breaks my heart for you. I would give anything to have my Mom here to make cakes for my kids....to see them on special days....gosh any day. I don't understand why they are like this.
