I can't find the logical way to explain what happened

I had a very strange experience on Thursday when I went down to my Mothers home. I hadn't gone down there for almost 2 months. The wife of my 2nd or 3rd cousin called me up (never met them before) & is working on the family tree & photos. I knew that my Mother had many photos & the last time I was there I had found a box of photos without anything written on them (who is who?????.....lost to future generations).

I suggested that we go down to my Mothers house together & go through the photos. I have been in avoidance of going down there due to the horrible flashbacks I have been getting as it is getting to be the same time of the year when everything happened last year.

Well, we drove down to the house & I opened the front door.....with all the mail pilled up behind the door to pick up & move before being able to get in. The house has been closed up & the drapes pulled. I had left the ceiling fans on in the kitchen, den, & the main bedroom because it was so hot in the house.

I knew exactly where my Mother kept the photos in the front room end table cabinet & decided to open the drapes to let in more light. As I walked to the window to open the drapes in the dining room, there was the blade of the kitchen fan laying on the floor. The metal arm that holds the blade was sheared off just at the edge of the fan with the rest of the arm still attached to the fan. The blade had to come through a narrow door way without touching anything in order to land on the floor between my piano keyboard & the dining table. We then walked into the kitchen & there was another blade laying on the kitchen floor right under the fan in the same condition as the other with the metal arm sheared off at the edge of the fan. As I walked further into the kitchen, a 3rd blade was laying in the door way between the kitchen & the den. It had the whole metal arm on it with the screws that had held it on the fan laying on the floor. There was a bag of trash next to the stove & on the wall above the bag had been a box of recipes that was now broken off, pulled out of the wall & laying on the floor. To top that, the fan had a lightbulb at the bottom of it & the cover had been taken off months Iago.......what was strange was that the light bulb was laying on the floor.....not broken, cracked or anything...just laying on the floor as if someone had un-screwed it & layed it there. I don't remember if I had left the fan on or not....think I did...but it was stopped....I could spin it manually around....which meant to me that the motor hadn't frozen up.

The other strange thing was that the last time I was there I had only water to drink....& there were glasses sitting upside down on the sink with some orange strange smelling gunk on the counter around the rim of the glasses.

The only people that have the key to the house are the neighbors since I had the locks changed when the RN had OD'ed my Mother on morphine to get everyone out of the house. The neighbors no longer go into the house since they are no longer feeding the cat now that he is down at their home. The mail was piled up so much at the front door that no one could have come in through there for months either. All the doors were locked.....no windows were open......& nothing in the house was moved from the last time I was there.

My logical mind is wondering if the fan motor had frozen (but like I said, I could manually spin the fan).....would it have been that abrupt of a stop to have broken the metal arms of the fan????? Nothing makes sense to me in trying to determine what happened. I can't figure any logical explaination as to what happened. Sheared off metal fan blade attachments, unscrewed unbroken lightbulb on the floor????? I know the electricity in the home had gone off because the digital clocks were blinking....but don't think if the electricity went off that it would have caused a situation to shear off the fan blades either.

I ran this past my husband when I got home Thursday night.....I have run this by several people at the ranch on Friday.....no one has any logical ideas of what had happened. I am so glad I had someone there to verify what I saw & WE both saw the same thing that happened. Neither of us could figure it out either. We stood there in amazement. So many things happened in the house last year when the RN was stealing & using my Mothers ID with no one willing to believe what I told them. It is such a relief to have someone else see exactly what I saw.

I am always looking for the educated, logical, physical based explainations when something strange happens...there just has to be a logical explaination.....but this is beyond my grasp.

I cannot keep away this picture in my mind of ghosts hanging on the fan blades having a fun time swing around as the blades were whirling around. I know there has to be an explaination & not necessarily logical. I haven't told my daughter about this yet.....but know she would be thinking the same thing I am right now.

I hate it when my educated, logical mind says there has to be a logical explaination....but there is no way I or anyone else can even see any logical reason. I don't think I will be able to go into the house alone again after this....with the fear I am experiencing.....Anything is possible.....but where is the logic??????

Anyone's ideas as to what possible happened would be appreciated....I am open to ANY explainations & it isn't our imagination....thank heavens I have someone to verify what I saw.

My mother had celling fans in every room of the house. Blades would fall of like that all the time. WE used to take the blades off of the other fans so that atleast the bedrooms could have a fan. AS for everything else I dont know. Is it possible for a bum to be getting in and sleeping there?

But why would someone take a fan apart, of all things? I'd suggest kids getting in and pulling a prank, maybe.

LOL I don't think even ghosts could shear off metal blades. Besides, they don't weigh much, do they?

Debbie, the time of year it is and your fear of that house is enough to make something a little off seem Really Strange. Just having left the fans running for that long could have caused some malfunction that made other things to happen that defy explanation. Don't know that I would have left them running knowning that I wouldn't be back for a while. My thoughts would have been "You just never know."

Maybe you need to get some additional locks for the windows. There are some that allow you to leave the window open just a bit, but I don't know that I would do that, either, though. LOL

After the flashbacks go away, maybe after the first of the year, Jerry and I can come up and help you pack up all the things that you really want to keep then rent a roll-off and get rid of the rest of the stuff... so that you don't have to go back there again.

BTW!!! Give your cousin COPIES of the pics. I'd keep the originals myself whether you know who some of those people are or not. "You just never know!"

I probably would have just turned around & left the house & come back w/some reinforcements... and a camera.

Even if the motor is locked up you can manually spin it....the rest..I dunno but I got the other by someone who would know

Strange indeed. I am amazed that the light bulb was unharmed laying on the floor. Also, the orange substance in the cups. Did you check all other entries and windows to make sure that someone isnt using the home to sleep in.

I dont know what to say to this. It does seem rather strange. I also wouldnt go back in there without someone going with you.

Ahhhhh,

I was missing my cell phone charger that I had taken down to the house & decided to go back down & see if I could find it.....no wheremy at home. I took my husband down there with me.....definitely afraid to go alone. The comment that SeptemberMorn made about ghosts not weighing enough to do something like that was exactly what I said when we were discussing what we saw on Thursday too. Had to laugh about that real hard.

I think I can now logically explain most of what happened except the lightbulb not breaking, the receipe box falling off the wall & the orange gew on the counter. Melissa is right about blades breaking off especially when the fan becomes out of balance. I had taken off the last blade on Thursday. Today I messed around with the fan without any of the blades on. I turned on the switch & pulled the chains until I got it to start. The fan itself was shaking so bad that it is very logical that the blades could have sheared off. I am thinking that the screwes holding on one of the blades must have shook loose & it came off.......causing the fan to become way out of balance causing it to shake even worse & probably to the point where the metal braces could have sheared off at the fan blade......probably stopping the fan (somehow). Once I got it turned on, it shook so bad it was obvious that most of the things that happened were possible & even logical.

I knew there had to be a logical explainations.....there always is......sometimes it just takes sitting back & playing around with something to the point it makes sense.

I had to laugh at myself......with all the possibilities that were floating around in my brain. I am not one to throw out any possibilities.....but being a computer scientist/engineer/programmer......logic is always what has to end up answering my questions. I really feel better when I can find a logical explaination for what happens around me.

I told my daughter about it......& the logical explaination. She has had paranormal experiences.....& didn't want to hear any of what happened even with the logical explaination.....she is very sensitive about things like that after grandpa & then grandma died. But I am glad that my logical mind was able to come up with the explaination.

I don't think I will be able to go there alone for a while right now......Tomi....I so appreciate your offer for after the first of the year....that is so kind of you......you don't know how much that means to me.....thank you.
